They don’t have a lot of talent. This isn’t a team with multiple NBA type players. The sum is way better than the parts. I said people would have called Duke out, but also would say they were easily the most talented team. I honestly think this was coach Ks worst coaching job. I fail to see anything wrong with that. Not to mention winning 1 game that is coin flip is not the same as calling heads 3 times in a row

They have a lot of 4* players, including a future lottery pick and Ty Jerome will likely be drafted too. More talented than most teams in the tournament. Duke was incredibly athletic, not the best basketball players though.

It was definitely a legit championship. I'd like to have seen them beat Duke to win it, just cuz they couldn't do it in the regular season.

But, they beat the three hottest teams in the tourney. It definitely was no cakewalk.

Purdue in particular was just playing nuts.

Okay, well it's a fact that this the 2nd best team to win the title in the KenPom era. And I can assure you it takes into close games. And I can also assure it doesn't take into last year's loss.
You can say it's a fact that they're the 2nd highest rated title team by Kenpom. But to conclude that means they were the 2nd best team to win a title is far from factual.

So you've listed a total of 3 teams from the KenPom era? Lmao. And one of them is the 06 UF team? Lmao.

This UVA team is like the 4th highest rated team in the KemPom era(2002-2019). And the 2nd highest rated champion ever, behind 2008 Kansas. This is one of the best teams of the last 25 seasons. Probably top 7/8 of the last 25 years if I had to guess off the top of my head.

You said 2nd highest rated ever. Not "ken-pom" era.

I'm sorry if I needed to spell it out sentence for sentence, holy shit man. Lmao. It was pretty obvious I was speaking in regards to the same era.

I know there are many dubious calls during game. However it does seem that late in the game Virginia has the "double dribble if necessary, it wont get called" and "the trip your own player and have the refs call a foul on the closest defended" plays down pat.

Just 3 lottery picks and one of them was most talented players to come through college in a decade, outside of that middling talent

LOL, what "feeling am I trying to repress". Auburn lost to Virginia, move on.
Pssst I'm an Auburn fan and have a sacred obligation to have a chip on my shoulder for no less than 20 years or until we win the natty.

This right is protected under the bill of rights so you need to back off or I'll report you for hate speech.

I got 1996 (that isn’t even fair), 98, and 2012 UK as better. Like that Nova team. 2001 DUke. 2004 UConn. 2005 UNC. Florida champ team. 2009 UNC.. that enough?

Congrats to Virginia on winning the national title.

I would second that. It a great accomplishment, there is really no need to try and rank it

thought UVA got most of the critical calls late in the game…other than that is was a great game to watch on both sides.

TT's culver was dud tho…missed a million open shots, made some shots late and missed the game winner at the end of reg. Thought TT should have drove that last
possession into the paint for a shot.

any whose…gratz to UVA on their natty run this year.

Quick pass on 98 UK and 2004 UConn. Those teams weren't even #1 seeds. And I realize Okafor missed some time to injury that year. I'm not sure which Nova team you're suggesting? Or UF team? 2018 Nova has a case and 2007 UF but not the other two title teams IMO. I'd take UVA over 2005 UNC slightly. 2009 is more of a debate.

It should be noted I am taking into account the regular season with all of this.
