Which I support. Atleast in general. I support 3x3 anyway. Didn’t make it to all his nerdy specifics. Knew they were coming and they’re prolly fine.

FWIW, I watched pretty much every second of AS weekend (over SNL) and enjoyed it. I can handle a few more years of the current format. Wouldn’t even be mad, unlike Chris Paul when he got DQd. Fucker was pissed they called him a cheater. lol. Damn shame they didn’t let Ally get the interview.

What's the target score and how long are they playing though? Unrivaled, the women's 3x3 league, plays three 7 minute periods and they use an Elam ending in the final period. Games take about an hour. The competition has been pretty good as its just enough time get into it and feel like you're watching basketball. They also play full court, which is better than the Olympic half court stuff.

But for the ASG, he's suggesting an 8 team tournament so that'd be 7 games they have to play in what is typically a 3 hr TV window. So clearly they couldn't do the Unrivaled format because the games would take too long. Instead of doing time, maybe play to 20? How long would it take them to get to 20 and would it even be entertaining? As we saw from the most recent format, they played to 40 and they got to 20 pretty quickly. If each game took like 10 mins, how interesting would it be to watch?

WTF does 3x3 have to do with the NBA?

If you want a 3x3 tournament in place of the All-Star game, OK. There shouldn't be any relation to all-star selections though. Completely different animal and different players would excel and/or belong in such a tournament.

I don't know if I agree with his 3x3 idea just liked the article especially the data about the specifics of the all star game devolving since 2020
