I remember talking to some Heat fans when they drafted him that he wouldn't last long in the NBA. His game was just not right for the NBA.

BK I told you about Napier. I hate to see a great college player fail in the NBA so I hope he turns it around.

Coaches send rookies and young players to tge D-League all the time. It doesn't mean they are failures. Coaches send them there, to get there confidence up and some game experience. A lot of times, it works.

Yeah this is no big deal. Guys who were drafted much higher than Napier were sent to the d-league such as Marcus Smart.

Organizations usually send high picks to the d-league to improve in a certain area or get them game action. Game action is not an issue for Napier but he's been having too many turnovers recently.

Every Heat writer said this will be a short stint

BTW assuming a player is not right for the NBA a month into his career is just stupid. This guy was getting 4th quarter minutes 2 weeks ago.

In the word of Aaron Rodgers R-E-L-A-X

Where were you a few weeks ago when Napier scored double digits off the bench in 6 straight games? Basically every rookie go through bad stretches....not the end of the world

TJ Warren, Tyler Ennis, Marcus Smart, & Jordan Adams are 4 guys off the top of my head who were all drafted ahead of Napier who already been sent to the d-league

Sometimes coaches will have guys play in the D-league to work on certain things that they can't in an NBA game and still play them in the NBA games as well. Sometimes on the same day. I forget who, but the Lakers did that with a couple of guys last year.

Celtics are doing it more these days. Young will probably go back and forth this whole year. Thats why they took ownership of Portland. Its like going to triple a to get some at bats

I am relaxed. Just pointing out I was right. Might be out of the NBA in 2-3 years. Good luck with him though.

He needs to work on ball handling as BK said. This really isn't a surprise move. He will be back to the NBA before to long. It's a smart move by the team.

He would have to be really really bad to be out of the NBA in 2-3 years. Kwame Brown was in the NBA for nearly 10 years and he was awful. Basically every 1st round pick unless you have a drug issue or scared of flying issue is a lock to be in the NBA at least 5 years min

What exactly were you right about? Napier has been fine. You were nowhere to be found a few weeks ago when he was on a stretch of scoring in double figures in 6 straight games off the bench.

I guess Marcus Smart is a bust too right? You're a clown

He still went down and only came up because of injuries. He didn't earn his back. Just admit it, it was a bad pick. Damn stop being a homer.

It was known since Saturday that this was going to be a short stay. Every Heat writer said it would be a very short stay and this was before anyone knew about Bosh or McRoberts injury.
