I do like the fact the Lions won this game. In past years Brees takes the Saints down for a winning field goal. I think the team is starting to have an identity other than the same old Lions!
This was easily the most satisfying part for me. To completely shut down Drew Brees when they absolutely had to with nearly 2 minutes left. The SOL never did that sort of thing. They didn't even threaten and did absolutely nothing except for Brees' 4th down scramble.
Staff wasn't bad considering the OL still sucks. He missed a couple easy ones he should have hit but that's who he is. I missed the 1st couple of minutes including the pick that apparently was his fault. On the other pick whatshisnutz shouldn't have even been on the field to have the opportunity to practice the tip drill with the NO DBs... it almost looked like a damn lateral. Tate was great. Bell looked good in spurts. Fuller, Ross and even Grew had their moments, which reminds me... I want to see more Grew. He was one of the few bright spots the 2nd half of last season and he's been MIA this season. What's up with that ? But we simply need a healthy Calvin to compete with the best. Hopefully we can get past the Falcons with less than our best next week and he'll come back at 100% after the bye. The jury is still out on Prater. Clank from 21 yards ?
