Sadly, it's most likely not "should Romo go down" it's when...but decent QB play and some health elsewhere and this team can be decent without Romo and very good with him.
Cowboys get Ezekiel Elliot in this draft will keep Romo healthy and put the Plowboys in the thick of things in the NFC.
Elliott would be the most Romo friendly pick, I just don't see RB as a 4th pick need.
In Jerry's mind he's drafted and or aquired multiple prospects, to bad they all sucked.
Trade back and you'll lose him. He is possibly the only sure deal in the draft.....
I know, if he's the pick I'm fine, just wouldn't be my choice. If they trade back it would have to be with a team wanting to jump up above JVille for Jack, and it would have to be a team drafting above Philly. Small window, if I traded back that's my target, and I'd take less than the value chart to do so. I'd probably draft Jack for the team I'm trading with and have that team take my guy then annnouce the trade.
your contempt for Romo is understood however your statement about 80% of the offense is flat wrong!
go look at the numbers 2013 and 2014 are really close to the same numbers for Romo. And the Choke throws Please that's just Romo or Cowboy hate coming out. As far as Romo producing most of the offense I don't think that's the way it will work out.
Romo staying healthy is key I will agree with that.
