Damn autocorrect :) Yes I meant Donahoe

Actually, so many blast Howie because he doesn't have a football background, but he doesn't scout the players, but Donahoe, Gamble, and many others do, and there probably isn't a better organization of scouts than the Eagles. I think the problem is that the GM and coach, make their decisions of a feel for a player, instead of just utilizing the big board, and taking the BPA, and not reaching for a need.

Hopefully, this year will be much different than last year.

After looking closer at the contracts of Bowman & Willis, it will be Willis that is cut/traded...not Bowman.

Id sign Willis in a heartbeat. Id even trade a late pick for him if need be.

We have to come out of this draft with a capable corner in the first few rounds. It'd be nice to have a speedy pass rusher opposite Barwin but we really need a physical MLB next to Kendricks. Just by adding that, one capable corner in the draft, one in free agency, and a safety would make a monster difference for this defense. How about the D Line guys? Are you satisfied with what we have?

Wow Maxwell has size AND speed. Plus he tackles. Give him Williams' money. Imagine having him, Waynes, and Willis? Those 3 would be a tremendous upgrade. I really like Waynes. He's skinny but he isn't weak and can hit/tackle. He's the type of guy who could add 10-15 pounds and without having to sacrifice his speed and quickness.

Walter Football.com has the Eagles taking Trae. I think he goes higher but . . .

Philadelphia Eagles: Trae Waynes, CB, Michigan State
I've had several Eagle fans ask me if trading up for Marcus Mariota is a possibility. It's not. The Buccaneers actually wanted to move up to No. 1 before they had the first pick because they're desperate for a franchise quarterback, so they're not going to suddenly surrender the top choice. From what I've gathered, I don't even think three first-rounders would get it done for Philadelphia.

Here's a more realistic option. The Eagles have a terrible group of corners, and Chip Kelly likes tall defenders like Trae Waynes.

Pick change; previously Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB

As of today, i did a mock and here's what I came up with, barring adding/subtracting any picks. The 7 picks we have.

Trae Wayns, CB (we can pick as high as #16, and that is about where Wayns should go. If we win tomorrow, we will pick #20, and could trade up a few spots).

Denzel Perryman, ILB

Kurtis Drummond, S

Austin Hill, WR (size and speed)

Cam Thomas, CB

Tyrus Thompson, T

Bryan Bennett, QB (Wings scouted him). Development guy behind Foles, Sanchez or Barkley.

This is pretty realistic, but we have the Combine, all-star games, and private workouts yet. Something to think about. Let the comments begin.

Wow Drummond might go higher (round 2) but that would be an awesome start.

I'ma big PSU fan, so I would love to come away with Amos, and Mike Hull as well. He is a poor man's Luke Kuechley - meaning a tackling machine. Plus he has good speed for a white boy.

I didn't use Fanspeak. It was following a ratings chart, and who might be available in each round, in the 16-20 range, and who I would like if available. The ratings will certainly change as we get closer to the draft, so it is subjective, not objective. Just thinking. By the way, if I thought Shaq would be available (and he well may be) I would have picked him. If we had a choice between Shaq and Wayns, it would be a great problem to have, but I would lean toward Wayns. What would you do - Wayns and Perryman; or Shaq and Peters?

I said the same thing to my son last night about Lynch, reminded me of another Lynch Marshawn Beast Mode Lynch. I have been a huge Penn State fan since I was a kid and really enjoyed that win last night. What a game.

Penn State has a few players who will not be high picks but will be solid Pro's

Mike Hull at middle linebacker- His stats say 2nd round pick but he is only 6ft 235lbs, so he probably goes in the 3/4 round area. I think he would be an absolute steal in the 4th round. He is a guy who can call the defense and is excellent against the run. Kind of a poor mans Demeco Ryans.

Adrian Amos Safety - another one who is a little smaller at 5ft 11 210lbs but he is a 4.45 speed guy with a good vertical leap. I can see him going anywhere from late 2nd to early 4th round depending on his combine. Another guy who I think can come right in and start for a team. Would love the Eagles to get him.

Miles Diffenbach Offensive Guard - He will be a late round pick because he battled injuries throughout the year but this kid can play. When he went out yesterday you saw Penn State struggle at times and most of the time it was pressure coming through the right side of the line.
