We lost 4 of 5 Olineman and the 5th is the worst of them. Foles has looked awful but this is them taking away the run and throwing everything at him. This is what D's did to 5 and flustered him (this with a strong OLine). Foles and the O will get better as the line improves. Teams won't be able to do what they are now doing. That Foles is completing 65% is incredible. That he's nervous back there is understandable. I'm not the least bit worried.

How did Djax leaving expose Foles when the other receivers are getting wide open? I must be missing something here. I think Foles has thrown far more deep balls without Djax then he threw with him. Problem is he keeps throwing them off his back foot and or with linemen in his face.
Because Desean was a good receiver and not to mention the speed to help correct with Foles poor accuracy. Love or hate Desean the guy is a good receiver and a good deep wide out at that. He can make allot of bad QB's look good. I know it is an old story, but I still think the Eagles screwed up cutting him.

However I won't put all the blame on Foles poor accuracy. Cooper was a much better receiver last year than this. Cooper has dropped allot of balls. We cannot also keep blaming the Oline. In the last 3 weeks, Foles has sailed every deep ball over his target. I am not giving up on him, but we have a tough road ahead here and if he keeps playing the way he is, the Eagles are going to have a tough time winning games.

So it's all the Qb's fault. Got it. I have a question how many of you where around for the Bobby Hoying Era, Ty Detmer era? Just curious.

I still come back to this Chip Kelly's offense is a run first offense and when your all world RB can't get any yards, there'd are more issues than you QB. It's all tied together. Let's also not forget the wide outs and tight ends, too many dropped passes, too many times where they are not making a play on the ball.

This comes down to Chip, he has to find a way to get this going. Do something different, go under center, put wade smith in there as an extra blocker and say we have the best back in the league stop us.

One other thing to add. If the Eagles were 1-4, does anybody believe that Foles would be starting? I have heard comments that Kelly likes Sanchez and feels confident that he could run the team. I myself thought Sanchez was incredible at USC, I remember watching allot of his games. Again I don't want to give up on Foles, he is a young guy and benching him might ruin him, but maybe he is not ready to start yet?

If you remember Ty Detmer, he came in and was the hero, but what happened the following year when it became his team and he was the starter?? Anything remotely similar?

Nope Detmer first year 15tds to 13ints next year 7tds 6picks. He never put up numbers like Foles did, he was in fact a veteran QB who was terrible. I think you are thinking about Koy Detmer San Fran game

I will say this if Foles was the sole reason as some of you think for this offense not producing Chip would go to Sanchez. I don't think the fact they have 4 wins has anything to do with it.

This is probably Shady's last season as an Eagle. He doesn't hit holes and I sense that Chip doesn't like him. He is going to be Deseaned...

On Foles, he needs to step up. If he does not he is going to present Chip and Howie with a very tough decision next offseason.

I suspect they will draft a new QB. I don't think Barkley is the answer.

I doubt that. No way Shady leaves this team. Not going to happen.

Shady doesnt need to leave, we just a change of pace back that will actualy hit the hole. I think this is a great system for RB rotations, hit them with a finesse and power combo.

A huge key is getting back to the point where we could run even against stacked boxes (like last year). Getting back Kelce/Mathis will go a long way towards that.

We are terrible on 1st down running the ball. Among the worst in the NFL. So bad that, Chip passes the ball 60% of the time on 1st down. Which I believe is 3rd most in NFL.

Get everyone healthy on the OL & there are no more excuses for ANYONE....including Foles, McCoy & Chip. Until then...Im still gonna enjoy the WINS. Sure as hell beats losing with great O stats.

While I agree that getting Kelce and Mathis back could alleviate a lot of problems, we are also seeing that without very good blocking, Shady can't make anything happen. He dances too much instead of settling for short yardage and pushing the pile. Sproles is also a finesse back, but he is decisive and always get positive yardage. Shady is helping put Foles is third and long situations.

Can U guys please tell the rest of the NFL that Shady sucks. Cause they havent gotten that memo. Im sure he is sick of the 8 man boxes.

He cant make anything happen without very good blocking? This is his last year? Chip isnt happy with him? Talk about ridiculous.

Its funny because this has been happening since he came into the league...

1st ..he is no Westbrook. omg he is gonna fumble too much.
2nd..Dion Lewis is just as good.
3rd..Man, Bryce Brown might be better. lets trade shady.
4th..Sproles needs more touches cause Shady dances too much.
5th..Pleas give Polk more carries/Shady could be gone.

Straight up ridiculous every time....& usually the same people.

They are loading the box to stop Shady. The middle of the offense line is patchwork and there is a lot of pressure up the middle. By the time Shady gets to the line the hole that is supposed to be there never materialized.

McCoy isnt perfect & there have been times he hasnt hit the right hole or danced a bit too much but those plays are more the exception than the rule. This year has just been ridiculous as far as not having much of anywhere to run most of the time. In years past, he had to make a guy miss & was in the 2nd level..now he has to make 2-3 guys miss just to get to the LOS. Asking a lot of any RB.

As far as Sproles excelling this year vs Shady struggling. Most of it is because of how Defenses are playing us. Teams think stop Shady when he is in. When Sproles is in..they are thinking screen pass. The holes are simply bigger for Sproles. Thats not to take anything away from Sproles...he has been awesome this year but go back & watch the tape. Teams Defenses change once he comes in the game & it only makes sense. Sproles, while a good RB is an absolute terror out of the backfield.

But with all that..I will always go back to Foles because until he starts destroying people ovver the top..this will continue & missing OL certainly doesnt help the cause but even if they come back, until our QB makes teams pay for loading 8 in the box..teams will continue to do it. Why wouldnt you? It works. So long as your O & S/Ts dont give up TDs..lol.

Swat what you are saying about beating the 8 in the box with the pass is the best comment you have made in some time. However you don't need to beat it with 50 yard passes, you can beat it with intermediate routes. Like the route they threw to Maclin from their own end zone, they were stacked in the box, Maclin ran a 15 yard in. I am simply not seeing enough of those in the offense right now.

At the end of the day this is a run first offense and its up to Chip to find a way to get the running game going and to me if that means three tight ends and 3 yards and a cloud of dust running then do it. They have to show the ability to run the football.
