Chip Kelly says LeSean McCoy ?took himself out? in fourth quarter | ProFootballTalk

This makes me wonder why we aren't seeing more of Sproles. And no, I don't think he came out because he was tired and being a "good" teammate, I think it was more along the lines of "we're not gonna get the 1st down so you go in so it doesn't look like I didn't get it".

I've thought for a bit now that maybe Shady is gettin a little jealous at how well Sproles has done here and Chip is afraid to set him "off" by taking him out for Sproles, giving him more touches.

Maybe this is the kind of thing that will get Chip to send a msg. to Shady that you can quit being a little bitch and play the game or you can sit the bench and we'll ride the guy who's gettin it done.

Chip lost all confidence in Foles yesterday. Twice on 3rd & 6 he ran the ball. Doesnt matter who the RB is, if your OL cant run block half the time, the D is focusing on the run & your QB leads the NFL in turnovers + cant hit anyone past 10 yrds...your O will suck balls against any D worth a shit.

and for those who think teams are not loading the box against us...you better re-watch these games. They most definitely are.

In this O with the way teams play us...Foles should be lighting it up. He isnt. Teams are not scared of him at all & most likely think last year was a fluke. Seems they are right..at least so far.

Eagles tied with Buffalo, Arizona & Oakland for fewest Offensive TDs this season at 6. Arizona & Oakland have only played 4 games.

:L

Foles has been bad.

And this is all Foles fault? Let's be realistic here the play calling in the red zone has been awful and Foles has had to throw the ball away a lot as well. Not saying he is not deserving any blame but......

Its not all Foles fault but when teams are loading the box to stop the run on most plays, your QB has to make them pay. Instead he leads the NFL in turnovers & sucks on passes over 10 yrds. We are winning despite him.

So you base this off of two running plays? Is that the best you can do? Seriously...I recall it working the first time he did it. No sense in thinking it would not work again...hoping to catch the defense cheating.

Teams do this all the time.

What is funny is that no one is blaming the real problem with the team. The horrible secondary that gave up three touchdown catches that should have been defended or picked off because they were in the right position but play their position horribly. Not to mention the other big plays they gave up for the very same reason.

Foles completed 65% of his passes yesterday and threw 2 TD passes. The Eagles converted 53% of their 3rd downs yesterday.

Foles have 5 interceptions this year but to be honest 2 of them are not his fault. The fumble yesterday was a bad one. He has a couple other fumbles but IIRC there were from him getting sacked. Considering how bad the O-Line has been because of injuries you should expect issues.

Nick Foles is in his first full season as a starter and while he is not playing Manningesque he is not stinking up the joint either. He is making mistakes and he also has players dropping balls as well.

Of course in Philly when everything goes wrong blame the QB.

The secondary blows. Everyone should agree about that.

Been bashing this secondary since last year.

Had to argue with those who thought drafting Smith was gonna be better then gettin a top CB because our secondary is MUCH improved this year with Fletcher/Jenkins coming in. Those same ones are now starting to bitch about our secondary yet don't want to say how ol chipper fucked up the draft cause then they gotta swallow a little pride themselves.

Nothings changed from my side on the D. It just so happens they haven't even looked the worst on the team. They have actually spotted us some TD's. The O has looked bad. I think most expected the O to be unstoppable and the D to just be ok (I thought bad), so it's why I'm more upset with the O

No use in keep arguing but Ive leave one more stat on Foles...

He is 4-41 on throws over 20 yrds from the LOS. When your QB is that bad on plays like that...teams will continue to load the box.

No one is scared of Foles & he has given them little reason to be this year.

I am not disputing that Foles has issues but where are the posts about the receivers not getting open because if you think Foles has issues they definitely a contributing factor.

Foles does need to be better but I am not willing to say it is just him. The issue is the offense as a whole.

You point out he only has 5 picks. And I'm one that says unless it's picked it doesn't count but I can count another 10 throws that SHOULD have been picked... If not more, he throws it up in the air and hopes for the best.

Let me clarify something.

I know a lot are not saying that Foles is the only problem. IT just seems that many more posts are about him than others and that is where my issue comes in. I think the team has more issues. First in the past few weeks we have had as many drops as bad passes. Some of the drops are critical. Some look at the interceptions and immedietely say they are Foles fault when we can look at them and say they are not.....however......he did have some that should have been intercepted so that could a wash.

You must have been reading my mind....I just put that the post right after yours. Was already typing it as you replied.

He threw three yesterday that had me cringing but I do think at times the QB needs to put the ball out there to let the receiver make a play....just not so often.

Desean leaving has exposed Foles. Desean did a good job getting deep for the overthrown balls. I was laughing my ass off yesterday when Foles tried to put some touch on the ball and it went strait in the air. Unbelievable.

Foles is brutal, he needs to seriously needs a rude awakening by Chip. These senseless turnsovers are brutal. He literally double clutches on 90% of his throws, his mechanics are TERRIBLE, he throws off his back foot all the time.

Sanchez better be preparing to play because I don't care if this team is 4-1, they should be 5-0, or at the very least 4-1 in blowout wins. To many open WR's missed.

McCoy looks a step slower... He also needs to change his attitude. I get it sucks not gaining any yards but slamming the ball on the ground in front of your teammates doesnt help either. And if he just hit the hole like Sproles would he would gain more yards instead of trying to score a TD every play. His ego is so big right now by everyone blowing him in the off-season.

The defense is bi polar, looks great and than looks terrible. Agree with you the worst secondary in football, we need 2 cb's and a safety. Not one of our CB's got their heads turned around to locate a ball.

ST's is great.

Again, it's hard to complain when you are 4-1 but there are some glaring problems with this team.
I agree with all of this....I like Foles, he is a great kid, but holy shit he is suckin balls right now bigtime. Our Cb's absolutely blow! Our special teams are the best I have ever seen them under any coach.

Wiz said it in another thread, but if this team comes together we are gonna be scary. We are scoring on Defense and special teams every week, now if only we could get the offense cookin!

How did Djax leaving expose Foles when the other receivers are getting wide open? I must be missing something here. I think Foles has thrown far more deep balls without Djax then he threw with him. Problem is he keeps throwing them off his back foot and or with linemen in his face.

No way in hell should we have lost last week with 3 return TDs.

Like others are saying..we get Kelce & Mathis back & if Foles can get his head out of his ass..we can do some damage.

If Foles cant..he'll get replaced. No way Chip goes into next season with Foles as his QB if he continues to play like this. Cause eventually, we'll start losing.

We actually should be undefeated. Or we should be 1-4 depending how you look at it.

How's this years NFL draft look? I can't really think of any huge studs off the top of my head?
