If he had balls, he'd put UGA #2 tho. And #4 UNC seems pretty BS. Well, a lot of them seem BS. But he's holding back on the non-playing teams obviously.

And yet he shockingly had no problem putting SEC teams in before they had played.

LOL @ having the B1G teams in but not the PAC teams. What a failure of a rankings.

In my original preseason rankings (which were on the SportsHoopla Top 25 poll) that came out prior to the B-10 & P-12 deciding to postpone things, I had several Big 10 & Pac-12 teams in my Top 25. I don't recall the order, but I had Ohio St., Penn St., Minnesota, Indiana, and at least a couple more Big teams. I also had USC & Oregon from the Pac, along with one or two other teams.

I am currently concentrating on the teams that are currently playing, and adding in those that will be playing soon. Those that are predicted to be the strongest or have the most seamless transition into the season are added first.

Ohio St. lost a lot of talent off last year's team, but has a great QB returning & is still expected to be the cream of the Big 10. Penn St. lost a good bit, too; but seems to be the second-most consistent team in the league behind OSU. I'm waiting on Michigan until I see them play; and I don't know what the layoff might do to Indiana. Minnesota is fast establishing itself in the B-West; and while Wisconsin & Iowa are usually very good, they have been up & down the last few years.

Oregon is shaping up as the best in the Pac-12, but we haven't seen what they might be like after losing the kind of talent they did in the off-season. USC has a talented roster, but questionable coaching; Washington is trending downward; WSU no longer has the Pirate at the helm; Arizona St. is improving but still middle-of-the-road; and Utah may not be as potent as year's past. But, California could still be good.

The Pac has not been able to practice during the shutdown like most of the eastern conferences, so they are not expected to be as sharp when they finally do return. Like Michigan, their whole league is in a wait-and-see situation.

And yet he shockingly had no problem putting SEC teams in before they had played.

That's because the SEC had plans to play from the very start. They just started their season a few weeks after those leagues that were ready to jump the gun. The primary unknowns in the SEC were: 1) Would LSU be able to sustain its momentum after all the players & key coaching staff members it lost from last season? (No); 2) Would Texas A&M finally have a break-out win against a Top 10 team? (Yes); 3)Would Mac Jones be able to pick up the slack after Tua Tugavailoa left UA? (Yes); 4) Would Lane Kiffin be able to jazz up Ole Miss's offense? (hell, yes!)

If I thought Georgia was the second-best team in the country, then I would rank them accordingly. I said in a post prior to last week's games that I thought Ole Miss would give Alabama more trouble than any other team on their schedule, including the Bulldogs.

I just looked up my original (pre-covid B-10/P-12 lapse) preseason ratings. Here's how I ranked the Big & Pac teams at the time:

3. Ohio St.
4. Penn St.
10. Minnesota
11. USC
12. California
13. Oregon
17. Iowa
19. Wisconsin
20. Indiana

And, for good measure, I had the MWC's San Diego St. at #25

Well in hindsight, you weren't wrong. It feels like Bammer, Clemson and probably OSU once they play, then whoever gets their shit together. It should not be Georgia. They got pantsed. Give me a 0 or 1 loss Pac 12 over a cucked Georgia in the final 4.

I feel like Georgia is a great team with bad QB... which means 5-10. They aren't that good, and the rest of the SEC is worse. But the ACC is dogshit too.

So hope for OSU/Wisconsin/Minn.

And let's get an undefeated or 1 loss Oregon/USC/ASU in there too just to make it interesting. USC is scary if they're on point. Same recruits, Mike Leach offense. I feel like Oregon won't have the QB play so prolly USC.

Big 12 is atrocious. Even the winning teams just look BAD.

Even in a short season & playing a conference-only schedule, I'm not sure anybody in the the Pac will be consistent enough to avoid a loss or two this season. Who will want to place a 6-1 or 5-2 team into the playoffs? More likely a second team from the SEC/ACC/Big 10 or the best team from the G-5 gets in this year.
