I was thinking earlier today when I read Dipoto's comments that I am expecting a desperate trade here real soon. The Upton signing plays the same part. Desperation. Funny how Dipoto said it is too early to know anything right now and he still has the same faith in the guys and blah X 3. Then why the Upton move?

I will ask again. Why does he still have his job? Oh ya, we are Seattle. Winning isn't the barometer.

"Upton has hit .211/.299/.414 with 38 home runs over 784 plate appearances in the last three seasons."

That .211 is a perfect fit with the mariners.

Remember When Mariners Fans Hated Scott Servais?

That was from a year ago and the reporter pretty much calls fans stupid for wanting Servais to be fired. Of course nothing has changed since then. But at least Servais has that finalist for manager of the year award. Oh wait being a finalist isn't actually an award.

Then again who care's if he's fired because used car jerry will hire another just like him again.

That was badass, Suarez with a 2 out home run to tie the game in the 9th.

I hope so. I hate idiots in power getting lucky and being shown as geniuses. Dipshit and No-Servais don't deserve their jobs. Only in Seattle are they allowed to keep them. A bottom finish is the only chance we get rid of them and even that is no guarantee.
The problem is that these two keep pulling off an over-achieving season (thanks to an over-achieving bullpen) every time their backs are against the wall.

As for our big off seasons moves:
Robbie Ray doesn't look to good on the north side 40-50 pitches. Not a good sign.
And speaking of over-achieving, Winker has not hit right-handed pitching this year, which is supposed to be his bread-and-butter. To his credit, he has raised his batting average from .149 to .219 over the last 20 games, but his on-base percentage has actually gone down. Pitchers have learned that they have to throw strikes to him and he isn't doing much with them. Suarez is pretty much what he has been the last two seasons lots of strikeouts (currently 3rd in the major leagues) and not enough HRs to justify all the Ks.

And an extra inning ending strike out by JP Crawford with the bases loaded.

He is in a terrible slump and we have to get him out of the top of the lineup.

Somehow the Mariners can salvage a win if they can keep the Red Sox from scoring in the bottom half of the inning.

Would be a 4-6 road trip if that happens. Sure does seem like they played a lot worse than that

The Mariners have lost 19 out of their last 25 games. Fire someone, fire everyone. cut everyone, who gives a crap anymore.

Can we just get another team and evict the mariners from Safeco field?

He seemed to do great in the leadoff spot but they won't start him there this year for some reason. They broke something that was actually working with that move.

The Rainiers seem to be playing well. Let's swap that entire roster with the Ms.

“Do you guys remember where the M’s were around May of last year and then they went on a tear?!” — from numerous social media posts.

Yeah well shit…. I dare lightning to hit twice on the same spot.

Fuck this organization

There are just so many things wrong ... there just ain't a simple fix. You have a starting line up and bench full of sub .200 hitters. Every night you face a team that is chomping at the bit to get a piece of you due to the widely known fact you are getting your asses kicked nearly every night. You have a few decent arms in a starting rotation and a crew of relievers that are MLB average, yet they are put into hopeless situations nightly knowing the offense will rarely put them in a non high stress appearance with the game on the line or already hopelessly behind multiple runs. Near no one in AAA that can be plugged in to stop the bleeding. I could go on and on.

What could possibly be more demoralizing than a 4 game sweep to wrap up a horrendous 3-7 road trip and to give up a walk off grand slam in extra innings right before you board the plane?

That's a new low .... UNLESS, they lose 2 of 3 to the A's and then get swept all 3 games by Houston over the weekend.
That is a very real possibility at this point.
