Can we get Ray to waive his no-trade contract? Is there a team willing to take him on for a legit hitter? Mets?

Again, WHY do we still have him if he's just gonna fuck up the roster?!

Any other team would have canned him before he could finish his third season, but this is his SEVENTH with us, and upper management still can't face facts that he's worthless!
Anyone who knows me has no doubt how I feel about Servais. His first year I thought "he's new at this managing stuff" but year after year he hasn't shown much growth as an MLB manager. Jerry and ownership should have sent him packing after his 3rd season. Personally, I think Scott seems like a good and decent human being, As a MLB manager, he's way out of his league. He would probably make a decent AA or maybe a even AAA manager. Unfortunately ownership brought on the Angel:s reject, JD, who brought along his sidekick and buddy, inexperienced Scott Servais. After years of no post season play, all the hype was "this is the year"!! I know it is still early, but my enthusiasm is slowly fading away.. i wonder how this team would be doing back in the day if Lou was the Manager?? :noidea:

So now it's up to Oakland. A win for them tonight will mean a half-game difference...

I hope so. I hate idiots in power getting lucky and being shown as geniuses. Dipshit and No-Servais don't deserve their jobs. Only in Seattle are they allowed to keep them. A bottom finish is the only chance we get rid of them and even that is no guarantee.

I'm honestly worried that Dipoto is untouchable, thus by extension, Servais as well.

J.P. Crawford went 0-for-3 with a walk as the Mariners' No. 3 hitter on Friday against the Red Sox.

Crawford got off to a terrific start this year, but he probably shouldn't be batting third for a major league team. He's 9-for-53 with one RBI and a 16/3 K/BB ratio over his last 14 games, dropping his OPS from 1.094 to .828.

Pitching just sucks.... Especially our mid-relief... Why is Castillo still out there pitching with a 9.00 era in close games?

Guilty as charged

I admit after last years success and a little off season roster shake up ( albeit 3 card Monty 'esque ) along with our decent start the 1st couple weeks to the season ... I was a believer :doh::doh:

The sad actuality is: The 4th place AL west Mariners ( 17-23 ) are not even remotely competitive against the 4th place AL east Red Sox ( 17-22 )

Why as a relief pitcher are you throwing anything middle in to a guy ( with the bases loaded ) who just killed you the previous night yanking bombs over the Green monster??

You could put all 9 of our current starting line up in a bag and shake them up and maybe, jusssst maybe about 2-3 guys roll out that are worthy of being on any other teams line up.

The Mariners are simply the used car lot of MLB auto row.

Mariners '22 - We sucked then and we still suck now

carry on

Servais just does not have the mindset - or winning mentality of a MLB manager.

Maybe it is his lack of pedigree, or maybe he took too many foul tips off his facemask behind the dish. All I know is, he better invest these Mariner paychecks wisely.... because I cannot imagine he gets picked up by any other organization when the M's finally wizen up and kick him to the curb.

Meh.

I can’t say I have super high expectations this year. Seems like, recently, any time the Mariners have a 90 win season, they come back the next year to lose 90 games. And losing two out of three to the Angles to close out last year has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Granted, this team is much different from past teams. A lot more youth that should continue to get better as time goes on, so there is reason for hope. In any case, I’m keeping my expectations low.

I’m too used to Mariners baseball to have had high expectations for this year. My expectations are disappointment, and our boys don’t disappoint…

Yes and you know my philosophy on reserving spots for unproven players. That gets you the Mariners.
100%, and I think I am a mix into between yours and Jerry’s. IMO the younger guys need an avenue to see if they can hack it but not to the point of this year where in order to compete all of the young guys had to be all stars or fringe all stars.

The same reason this team pinch hits a .118 hitter for the #3 hitter (1 hit from being tied for #1) in MLB the other day. Dumbfark Servais.

Well, I see I'm not the only one on this forum who thinks Servais isn't cutting it. But keep in mind, Jerry D is responsible for Servais employment over these years. :L AND ownership is responsible for JD's employment over these same years. Same old shit for 20 some years. Seattle deserves better :thumb:

"SEATTLE - The Seattle Mariners on Friday announced seven themed fireworks nights, calling it the team's biggest lineup ever!"

The season is saved everyone, we have fireworks nights! Between that and Marco Gonzales bobble head nights this team is headed for the playoffs.
