the only reason I have xfinity is to watch the Seattle Mariners... Honestly, if they didn't have Root Sports, I would not have xfinity... I've researched other ways to stream the M's other than MLB and there isn't any... I'm sure xfinity is paying root sports a pretty penny because Root sports could go solo and sell their services to be streamed via an app for $9.99 a month or something like that...Quick question: Since Dish Satellite no longer carries Root Sports and MLB.com blackouts home games, what other servers/providers (either live streaming or cable connected) are available to watch M's home and away games? Any good recommendations? Thanks
I thought you could stream through YouTube and Fubo swell. They signed a deal last year.Quick question: Since Dish Satellite no longer carries Root Sports and MLB.com blackouts home games, what other servers/providers (either live streaming or cable connected) are available to watch M's home and away games? youtube.tv? I had that and cancelled last year because they didn't have root sports... That's cool if they ended up signing a deal with root... Me too!!!!!!!!!
Easier to make up and better weather in April. I don't get the scheduling. April should be games in the South, West coast, and domes. At least they had some wiggle room with the day off, but can they seriously just stop scheduling the Mariners for early April roadtrips to places like Minneapolis and Cleveland. Just make those games divisional which are much easier to make up.
The Mariners haven't had back to back over .500 seasons since 2002-2003 so you have a very valid point. I've tried to temper my expectations for this season. I don't think they're a playoff team, but I do think they will improve as a team from last season even though I feel like their record won't be as good, which seems like a contradiction. I think the starting pitching will be better, and I think the offense will be more consistent. It's just hard to replicate all the things that went right last year regarding stuff like the wins in 1 run games and the amount of times the bullpen was asked to hold a slim lead for the final 3 innings and managed to do it. But for me the jump to actual playoff contender isn't this season, it's 2023. I would love to be proven wrong though, and I can't deny I've gotten much more excited for this season now that the lockout is behind us and opening day is here.I can’t say I have super high expectations this year. Seems like, recently, any time the Mariners have a 90 win season, they come back the next year to lose 90 games. And losing two out of three to the Angles to close out last year has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Granted, this team is much different from past teams. A lot more youth that should continue to get better as time goes on, so there is reason for hope. In any case, I’m keeping my expectations low.
70 and sunny in Seattle today but yeah, let's schedule opening day in the upper midwest again. Idiots.
In fairness, this wasn't supposed to be opening day. This is a week later than it originally was.
This is the first opening day that has ever been postponed at Target Field in the 12 years of the ballpark.
It's very cold and damp outside, but I think this game could be played right now. I think that both the teams didn't want to chance it though.
