Throws stuff out windows
Glad they got the win, lots of room for improvement. Hope to see win #2 tomorrow.
Stop striking out with runners on third. That was freaking pathetic Duran isn't that good. Did that far too often last year, need to cut that shit out. Can't be relying on the pitching staff to hold 1 run leads all year again.
How did they look today? My KIRO app messed up during the top the 4th so I couldn’t listen. Finally got it working and Goldsmith sounded like he was giving a eulogy in post game.
Seemed like Ray was crusing, France doing the France thing of getting hit by a pitch. But couldn’t tell much on Kelenic or JRod and couldn’t tell on how Ray looked because Goldsmith kept drooling over Correa and Buxton.Ray was good. Didn't have his best stuff but pitched out of trouble and held the Twins to one run in seven innings, just what you need from your ace. Offense was 0'fer w/RISP. Just one game, but obviously scoring 2 runs in the first and trying to make that hold up is not the recipe for a playoff team.
Jrod had a dribbler on his first AB, then struck out twice and finally flew out on a fairly routine ball. He was fed a steady diet of off speed pitches. He didn't look as awkward has Kelenic did when he came up. I'm sure he will settle in.Seemed like Ray was crusing, France doing the France thing of getting hit by a pitch. Ray probably had his c or b stuff today and still went 7 giving up 1. That’s nutsSeemed like Ray was crusing, France doing the France thing of getting hit by a pitch. I noticed that a lot with Kelenic last year when he was really struggling. He had a lot of pitches that were out of the strike zone get called strikes on him. It definitely didn't help him any. I'm a huge proponent of automated strike zones.
Right now he's looking a lot more like late season 21 than around his call up. May have a rough inning or two, but settled in well and has strung together several easy innings and having players look awkward in some of their swings.Gilbert of 2022 looks a lot like Gilbert of 2021. Good arm, no consistent secondary pitches, throws 100 pitches in 4 innings.
I will give you that. He tightened up retiring the final 10 hitters. It will always come down to his secondary stuff and if he can control it. The arm is there.Right now he's looking a lot more like late season 21 than around his call up. Not just me...lol. I know we all know this, but still funny...to me anyways.I will give you that. He tightened up retiring the final 10 hitters. It will always come down to his secondary stuff and if he can control it. The arm is there.
