The two series I felt best about beforehand were the As and Angels at home. We know how that turned out.

Get swept by a pretty lousy Angels team, open up a road series against a 1st place Baltimore team and go batshit crazy at the plate and pitchers put up a shutout. I'm kind of liking the 2016 Mariners. It's going to be a wild ride but at least they have grit.

It's been happening to him for pretty much his entire career. I'm sure he felt this way at first and I bet he goes out there every start hoping for run support, but at this point I can't imagine he dwells on it like we do. He probably takes it as a given that he's gonna have to be lights out for the team to have any chance to win when he's on the mound. When the same thing keeps happening to you over a long stretch of time, you pretty much resign yourself to the fact that it's going to keep happening to you after a while and there's little to nothing you can do about it.

Home: 67 runs in 18 games = 3.72

Away: 108 runs in 20 games = 5.40

Great way to answer the bell after that BS weekend performance. Others beat me to it, but damn....we score like 16 or 17 runs the 2 games right before Felix pitches, 10 runs the game after, and can't plate a single guy for Felix.

The AL East is overrated. Always has been, because the Yankees and Red Sox are attention whores. And the Orioles have only played 12 games against teams over .500. Their record in those games is 6-6. They are a paper tiger.

I was worried that they'd be severely outmatched by the O's, and the jury's still out on it, but last night was pretty nice.
