I don't know if you read the comments by Servais, but he said the home run played a part because, "They were stressful pitches in that AB". I have never understood how a pitch in a tight situation is more physically demanding than a pitch at any of time. Played sports my whole life and never was I more tired based on the situation of the game.
I guess I am basing it and how pitchers are being handled for the most part. For some reason we have universally decided that pitcher only has a 100 pitches in his arm. So if Paxton finished the inning with 95 pitches instead of 100 I bet he starts the inning, that's how asinine it was. Paxton was a tad wild but at the most part in control that whole game. And the ball Alonso hit was something he just ran into. I just want to know my manager watches the game and pulls a pitcher when it he is done, and not by the pitch count always. If your asking me who I trust more Paxton at 100 pitches or Vincent/Scrabble its really not a debate right now.
