He doesn't realize the major reason they didn't land any key free agents is because management dropped the ball and signed Scott too late in the summer. That won't happen this offseason, a coach will be in place.

I don't agree with this.
James signed with the Cavs and didn't even meet Blatt for quite some time.

I think it was more of the Kobe 48M/2 factor.

I have been saying for the last 2 years....

Dame > Kyrie

Steph > Kyrie..

Now we can add, Wall > Kyrie

EASILY

And Lowry and IMO others.

Kyrie is a good offensive player. I'll easily agree with that.
He is nowhere near being a complete player though.

Call me gullible, but I actually think that he is being serious and believes what he is saying is accurate.

 I'll cut it to a couple of days. His stupidity gives me a headache after awhile though.

Yeah.
Probably a bad idea to read his posts while watching the Lakers.

Except that Kobe's contract didn't prevent them from signing anyone or going after anyone. Dwight did what Dwight does and while it hurt in the short term, the Lakers will be better off in the long term.

Lebron was never going to do anything other than what he did and every one knew it, but the Lakers had to make an offer. The Lakers emerged as the biggest threat to the Knicks for 'Melo, but in the end, he chose to take the Knicks money and keep LaLa happy.

Had the Lakers landed Lebron or 'Melo, Pau stays. Part of the reason he waited as long as he did, was to see who the Lakers could get.

Not sure what Kobe's contract had to do with any of that, especially since it's only a 2 year deal.

Unban Russy.

We have to make fun of him for the next week after the Cavs get their ass handed to them by the Suns, Clippers, & possibly the Lakers.

2 guys that don't get enough love because they aren't flashy....

Conley and Teague.

Both are very good pg's.

Lakers have nothing to do with it. They're actually playing fairly well vs. Portland as we speak. It's just his general level of stupidity.

With the Lakers luck, that's when Lebron will decide to come back.

I'll lift the ban in a couple of days.

Yeah, he's amazing. The last 2 times the Lakers played them, they hung tough all game, had a chance to win and then Lillard just takes over in the 4th.

Exactly, Thomas said he would have signed and wanted to play in Los Angeles.

Happy trails, Kevin Love :yahoo:

If this is not a misquote or taken out of context, Mr. Blatt is not very smart.

Kevin has not been very good this year.

But, you just don't say this kinda thing .

EMILIANO CARCHIA
@SPORTANDO

After last night loss against the Sacramento Kings, David Blatt told to a reporter, Blake Ellington, that Kevin Love is not a max player yet. Love has a player option, worth 16.7 mln, at the end of the season and is reportedly not interested in signing a long-term deal.

Reporter: "Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love they are two max players, they're here."

Blatt responds quickly: "Kevin's not a max player yet."

 Good job Blatt.

It's probably just some misguided attempt to motivate him but Kevin Love only came to Cleveland because he wanted to be on a winner. Blatt is basically asking him to carry the team while LeBron is out, Love could have stayed in Minne to do that.

I was mostly kidding about Lakers comment, and I personally never saw anything which would lead to me to believe he should be banned ( but obviously thats your call).
As Ive stated, my opinion on Wiggy is that he is a fan who isn't afraid to make wild predictions because in his mind he is always envisioning best case scenario.

It wasn't a comment on Love's talent or worth on the market.... it was a correction of the reporter mistakenly calling him a max contract player.

Love's current deal is a 4 year contract he got with the Wolves, not a 5 year... so technically he isn't currently a max-contract player.

I don't know why Blatt felt the need to make that correction... my opinion is that he's that type of person who likes to be accurate and can't help clarify inaccuracies spoken to him.
