We constantly argue online about which conference is best. We use all kinds of cherry picked stats. Well here is another one! In the BCS era which conference puts out the most NFL ready impact players. I used all rookie teams since 2008 (5 years). Enjoy...

Not what you expected was it? NFL GM's might need to adjust their draft strategies accordingly...

How do you link your own research? You are welcome to do your own though. Pro Football Weekly has put out all rookie teams since the 90's. There is a start for you.

So basically you created some arbitrary definition of impact players and are trying to pass it off as objective. I can think of more than five Badger offensive players who started their first NFL game (Russell, Zeitler, Kendricks, Carimi, Moffitt, Frederick and Nagy). There is one guy who was going to be the starter but was placed on the IR (Ewing). There is also another guy who started on a playoff team for half a season (Konz) and a backup RB who is on track for 500ish yards (Ball).

How do you get five impact offensive players for the entire B1G when the Badgers debatably have ten all by themselves?

Half the people you mentioned are rookies this year when obviously they haven't announced an all rookie team yet for 2013. Not to mention, only the best at their position can make the team. You are welcome to make your own "started as rookies" thread if you want. I don't know that starting=impact player though.

I didn't realize two was half of ten. So which people of the ones I listed did you count?

You realize that you are actually trying to argue that Russell Wilson wasn't an "impact rookie," right? I'm just making sure you realize how unambiguously stupid you sound.

Everyone has a different meaning for NFL ready impact players. I guess you are confused with your definition. :suds:

I said they were cherry picked. It's easier in my opinion to let a panel of experts top rookie teams guide my criteria then come up with my own subjective measure of impact player. Last years QB class was not a normal year. Usually these rookie teams are scraping the bottom of the bucket to get a complete team of players that actually were difference makers and not just pieces of the team. I concede that Russell Wilson was most definitely an impact player though. It's obvious I have offended you Big 10 guys delicate psyches. You act like no other conference has some player that probably got slighted. Im sure it all evens out.

Wilson should only count as 1/4 of a badger player, since most of his days were at NCSU

Wilson clearly cultivated his talent in the ACC; nice try though.

Russell Wilson didn't even graduate from Wiscy, he graduated from NCST. The Wolfpack get to claim Wilson, not Wiscy....
