5 minutes left. Up 7. Ball at the 30 and you throw a pass play 7 yards behind the line of scrimmage and PUNT. Kneel on the ball, kick the FG and win.

Mind numbing. I cant believe they dropped a sure win like that.

Clearly this coach was doing what a rookie coach can be expected to do.

He had some genius plays that he spent all week dreaming up to impress people in his mind.
And rather than just do the safe, smart, and obvious....he wanted to show his genius plays.

He shoehorned his rookie bravado into the game for no reason.
He deserves some heat for screwing up what looked like a certain win.

But, there has been worse coaching decisions.

Andy Reid was always good for blowing about 2-3 games every season with stupidity.

Yep. Reid was the same way. 6 dropped passes. 2 inside the 5 taking away 8 points.
One really heady play by Dallas was the sure INT in the end zone that Williams offensive pass intered with. Really good job after not running out of bounds game one. Dallas is 2 seconds away from being 7-0

I think the thread is just a little over dramatic. It was a horrible play call. Have no idea why he did it but to call it the worst ever.....that is a real stretch.

Yeah... maybe I should have said WORST PLAY CALL.
Literally kneel on the ball. Kick the FG and win.

Philly defense played well until the game was on the line.

The Refs assigned to the Dallas - Philly game are yellow laundry Refs compared to the other crews in the NFL, calls were missed both ways and calls were made both ways that were questionable to fans on both sides.

I don't want these refs the rest of the season and don't think that they will draw any playoff duty.
I don't know if they are just calling the game close or what. In the NFL a penalty could be called on about any play if the refs want to stick really close to the rule book. With that said :

They were just bad all around

Agreed now if you want to create a thread about wide recievers that collect a weekly paycheck but can't catch a ball thrown to them, I can get behind something like that! :thumb:
