I figured that out - eventually. Full disclosure: At first I was pissed and wrote a snarky response. Then I thought - why would he be complaining about DII programs? Then I looked to see if there was any reason (like head-to-head play) to rate one higher than the other. After finding no such game, my suspicions were confirmed.

I never claimed to be that bright.

I was only posting to feed peoples hate and have a bit of fun with it, but the actual haters have pretty much ruined the thread and taken everything to a personal level.

If people want to bash on Alabama, I'll generally entertain but when people start attacking Alabama fans directly, it's pretty much the end of the line.

I consider most of what goes on to be good natured ribbing. But there are a few who are actually just full of hate.

Wrong. I think you missed the point that Bama had a bye week. They played only five games in the last six weeks. Add in the FCS game (another bye) and they played 3 conference games.
I really think the argument is bullshit. Auburn defending a Bama loss? Think you would see Hardballs do the same if the Buckeyes had lost?

Ohio St was not the same team all year long, and the SEC starts conference games in weeks 1-3 instead of scheduling 3/4 cupcakes to start the season.

Ohio St's schedule last year was:

Navy
VT(Loss)
Kent State
Cincy
Maryland
Rutgers

And then it wasn't until their 7th game that they were finally challenged by Penn St.

They were lucky in that they got the time they needed to improve and build together as a team. If they had to face better teams sooner, they would not have had that luxury.
