I can't forget. I always say Mike and I also can't stop saying San Diego Chargers for some reason.

I also still say Bruce Jenner, but only because it would sound stupid to say Kaitlyn won the 76 men's decathlon......
“Kaitlyn” didn’t win the ‘76 men’s decathlon. “Bruce” won that.

And that is not “dead naming”. That is a statement of historical fact. “Bruce” subsequently changed his name to “Kaitlyn” and his “him” to “her”. But the historical fact than a man named “Bruce” won that competition has not changed.

Wait, why would you say that? That was one of my best posts and you're gonna say that shit to me? I've been horribly on edge all week. I have Lymes disease. Seriously, why the fuck would you say that?
I got a lot riding on this!

I ain't never gonna stop dead naming Mike Stanton!
40 minutes…

That was one of your best posts, and I had to ruin it.

yeah I get it, but I just think it would be funny if 50 years from now they got it mixed up and people thought some woman took on the men for that one Olympic Games and beat them all.

Yep. the Big Red Machine is the best closer since Mariano Rivera.
The human aspect aside, him getting sober was awesome. He was unwatchable when he was a mess. But now that he is sober, he really is talented.

Yeah if you go back and re-watch the episodes in order it's striking how much better he got after he gave up the cocaine and alcohol and whatever else.

I have been doing a full watch over the last year or so. I am currently at the Ellis Aych era. So I have seen the first 550 episodes within the last year. I am probably more familiar with his progression than anyone atm…

The pandemic was not kind to him.

Yeah, I've done that too but I had to skip the comedy store pandemic ones without the audience. At the time it was great that they did them, but now they seem depressing.

I am doing it so I understand all the context of the show (and calling Tony out for his constant rewriting of history in regards to GT winners and length of time served by different regulars). The Pandemic episodes were rough, but I give mad respect to Tony for keeping the show going in some way during that rough time. And skipping those episodes would have deprived me of the Tijuana pimp and the crazy ex boyfriend dude.

Ok, that's a fair point. That guy was legendary.

Until today, the D'backs had never had a ROY.
oh wow, a trivia question with an expiration date. I was going Padres next but I guess they have a ROY in there somewhere.
