Reiff is the new Fairley. Staff fails to improve him, and instead of being a cornerstone, he's another fucking hole that needs to be filled.

Reiff is not lazy and willing to do what ever needs to be done from what I have seen so far. Never saw that in Fairly. Fairly is immensly talented with a high ceiling, but not willing to put the work in.

It's a different sort of draft for the Lions this year, being in the bottom third of the rounds. I'd like to see more line help, either offense or defense, since that's where the game control needs to start. With a good line the Lions are competitive - with a great line they become winners.

Yes, losing Suh and Fairley is tough. It's done - time to see if the lessons are learned and if progress can be made.

Couldnt agree more vulture. Of course I was laughed at last offseason for suggesting they use their first pick on the offensive line. I guess in a way they did, they drafted ebron. He doesnt catch so maybe hes a statue on the line?

I didn't want O-line at 10. I wanted defense(Dix). A lineman sure would be nice to have right about now.

Classic Mayhew decoy.

"Dear Titus, Ryan, Brandon, Golden and Eric- Go out there, run around and get fans and opponents thinking you're a real threat, then Matt will throw it to Calvin."

Well Caldwell was quoted saying Ebron became a much better blocker by year's end. ;)

Well, we did get Swanson to replace Ravioli and didn't need to spend a first round pick to do it. Still need 1 more though. 1 starter and 1 depth guy. Cam Erving from FL St. in the first round would be perfect.

Cam Erving is nice.

As long as it's O-line, D-line or CB

Guard is a must but with waddle not sure to start the season healthy they need a tackle as well. I am not sure Lucas isn't anything but a depth guy. Maybe they are counting on Williams being more than a project.

I think unless they draft someone that Reiff moves to RT and Lucas to LT for 6 games. If Lucas plays well then nothing changes when Waddle gets back. If Lucas struggles then Waddle goes to RT and Reiff back to LT. Austin can play RG.

My guess is their will be at least 1 OL and possibly 2. Not sure we want to run Austin out there yet, although he cant be worse than Sims at this point anymore.

Seriously?? Has he won that award other than in 2011? What do his 1040's show in every other year?

Don't understand why you keep trying to glorify him as a great person as much as a great player. He choose to leave, he wasn't forced out or low balled on our offer.

Wasn't he voted the league's dirtiest player the same year he was the most charitable? I think he's a repeat winner of that award.
