You want to try and picky about goalline vs. short yardage D (which it clearly was) be my guest.

But it's a slow developing play where Lynch gets almost no momentum against a defense where it's expecting a run and thus needs to be a quick hitting run.

Clearly huh? They were in nickel defense, dude. You obviously have Internet access. Go watch the play.

Again, the Hawks rarely line up under center because the backfield is better at finding lanes than the line is at beating their man.

She's right that those were both terrible play calls and he should've fired after the SB.

The rest...sure.

That's ridiculous... That play they ran is one of our bread and butter plays in short yardage...

Bevell is damned if he do and damned if he don't... How bout all those plays he calls that work and wins us, keeps us in games?

Did it usually go to their worst offensive player?

I thought we were discussing the play yesterday?

My bad. I said both play calls were bad.

The SB one for so many reasons.

The one yesterday for being slow and not letting BM get any momentum before getting the ball (why I hate those types of calls in almost any situation outside of a draw.

Mmmm agree to disagree OK. However if a roll out bombed, you can bet folks would be bitching up a storm about it, can we agree on that?

I wouldn't be one of them. At least they would have been in Wilson's hands instead of Bevell trying to get too cute.

Well the play call is debatable but I dont like bevell as an OC and tom cable as an OL coach how many years have they been on this team? our OL still sucks other than Okung whom was a top 10 draft pick what offensive lineman has cable produced? Bevell runs these ridiculous screen passes to jermaine kearse of all people and constantly ran marshawn from the shot gun position last game. This passing game will finish in the bottom 10 of the league this year even with jimmy graham

True, I wouldn't expect you to be the crowd that would be complaining over a roll out, but trust me there are some that would.

I like Brock Chalk Talk... Here is his perspective and interpretation of why the Hawks ran this play... Agree or not w/ the call, hard to argue the logic...

I give, let Momma Lynch call the plays and let Kam be the general manager. I will just remain a fan cause I am smart enough to know I am too stupid to do either job.

White board is one thing. Fact is that our guys up front were getting their asses kicked all game. Why the fuck did Bevel think that would magically change on 4th and 1 when they knew the play was coming because it was so fucking predictable?

The guys were giving up sacks and Wilson was getting hit play after play when he'd pass... What does it matter whether we called a pass play or not? OL was getting their "asses kicked" pass blocking and run blocking... If they passed and he got sacked, we'd being saying, WTF didn't we run it w/ Lynch...

His QB rating was well over 100 after the first half. Why go away from what was working? And that was with him getting the ball out quick on slants and outs. Let the 20 million dollar QB win or lose the game. That's why we pay him so much fucking money. Let him make the decision.

It was not predictable. From that formation the team had a plethora of plays to utilize.

And every one of them could have been stopped by that d line. Along with every play every other formation.

Yeah, like you didn't know exactly what was coming the second you saw the formation.

It was an option. The offensive players don't know what's coming.
