Damn, Torres and Burnes surprised me big time. Didn’t see either of those two happening.
Torres, not sure why he signed where and for what he did. Burnes makes sense after reading it. He and his family live in AZ and turned down more money to go there. But ya surprising AZ had the dough to pay him when they have a worse TV situation than the poor Mariners.

If I am Mariners, I am calling up Toronto and SF regarding a Castillo deal.

Yeah was mostly talking about Arizona signing him. Cause I heard they had money issues and that’s why they couldn’t just cut Montgomery last year

Yes it was reported they were way worse off than the M's with the RSN thing yet they found a way. And there is no way AZ is a bigger baseball market than Seattle.

And we don’t have an income tax at the moment. I’m sure you did damn I can’t imagine raising an infant down in Arizona. My sons first two years down at spring training he was miserable and it only peaked I think at 80

Good point and one I should have known living there for 8 years. Old memory.

According to a story from Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press, Los Angeles and the Toronto Blue Jays are considered the "front runners" for outfielder/designated hitter Anthony Santander. The same story said that the Detroit Tigers consider Santander a backup option if their plans to sign third baseman Alex Bregman fall through.

Two things:

1- Buehrle over Felix? Insane.
2- Guys getting voted on are nowhere near HOF quality. HOF when I was a kid were guys that were legendary. Now they are just guys that were pretty good. Not that they will get in, but to even vote for some of these is insane.

2 things

Is Rollins better than I remember?

And if all the steroid guys got punished (besides the nice guys) why isn’t Beltran getting punished. His cheating IMO is way worse than steroid use

Totally agree. I really think the hall has gone downhill since when I was a kid. It is supposed to be for the immortal, but these guys voted on were meh. Hate it.

Yeah I just double checked that list you put up, hall of really good never really cross my mind with nearly any of those players. Outside of CC and Ichiro…arguably Wagner at his peak, all those other guys seem to me to be less than Felix. I don’t think Felix will get in but Utley, Rollins and Kinsler, get out of here trying to say they were feared by anyone the way Felix was for his 7-8 great years.

Exactly. Relievers are tough for me to judge so I really can't say on Wagner. But those 3 hitters were never thought by me during their playing days as HOF types. I love Felix, but I have a hard time with him as well only because his final numbers. His ability was dominating.
