Everyone's thoughts what's more important a good bench or a good bullpen? Only can pick one.

@jeffro151 you'll be up soon. Waiting on nos and I got my guy Carlton Fisk ready to post once nos selects.

good bullpen IMO, because they play more of a role per game...

Good point. I can see where a good bullpen is good so you can keep a lead but agree bench is a way to

Definitely a bullpen and even more in this draft. Why the hell would anyone wanna pinch hit for anybody in these lineups? Maybe pinch runners

Well, its not just pinch hitting it is also defensive specialists and pinch running... and then pinch hitting for them...

Many of these great hitters were not exactly great defensively...

Ok cool. I saw he has a lot of players in each category so it appeared he had more. Was in Walmart so couldn't stop and count his players and the other teams. Damn with no restrictions on players these teams are stacked. How are we going to vote on a matchup and how do you explain to someone that they lost a matchup? All teams are just plain nasty.

I think you have to look at specific matchups, and this is my opinion, not staying it as fact. I look at the pitchers hitters

I know we talked about these lineups, but consider this.....
A great All Time hitter might hit .300 for his career. Some are .340, some of these guys were .265 with 400-500 bombs
What % of at bats did they have against these 40 SP's??
Hitters face the #1,2,3,4 and 5 starters, along with the bullpens. That means, they might face a #1 starter in 16-17% of their at bats. BUT, these are the top 40 start.....over 100 years, that's an average of one of the top 4 pitchers in a Decade. What's the % a hitter will see THAT guy? 5%? Less?
Now imagine 100% of his AB's came against pitchers that strong. What's that .300 average? .250? Maybe? What's the .270 guy? .230?
I factor dominance of pitcher, batting average of hitter(obp not as much, less walks), power, speed, lefty/righty in the rotation, pen, lineup and bench. Strikeout %,of hitters facing K's per inning pitcher. I think you have to go that far to determine a winner amongst such GreTchen teams
