No, I'm trading a draft pick for Jeter. The pick I am trading is the pick I'd have used a bucket 1 on

Or
By trading Jeter he freed up a 1 and by trading for Jeter I lose a 1. Still Jeter for a pick

Bingo that's what I was trying to say but couldn't communicate it. 1 team would have 23 players and 1 would have 25 players I believe.

Correct. It's simply Jeter for a pick, and by trading Jeter, you now have a 1again
