You sayin Les is like... Mad? As in Mad Hatter kind of mad?Don't believe it. No sane person gives up 5 million to coach Kansas. That would be the absolute worst decision in the history of man kind:

Only P5 conference that does face that sort of offense is the ACC...and they only see it once a year. They really should look at Ken Nailapuaotlololol from Navy. They're never going to get the spread recruits needed to compete in Big 12 country, but that sort of offense could work there since none of the Big 12 teams face that sort of offense ever really.
Miles has never built a program, he has only sustained sucess. He wasn’t that great at Oklahoma State.KU is not asking Les to win the conference, just make the program respectable, raise money and get bowl eligible at this point and he can do that.
As mentioned, think KU is positioning itself for the future (meaning more realignment) Their goal is like 100mm stadium reno IIRC.
As far as his age, that is totally irrelevant, Herm out at ASU is currently making people who said that he was too old look like idiots and I'm 100% sure that if KState could invent a time machine that they would sign a 60 year old Snyder long term in the morning if they could.
Maybe you can afford to buy some players now.Miles gonna coach at KU for $50,000 like Bo Pelini did at YSU- only 3 more monthly checks to Pelini and Nebraska is done BTW. Riley and Eichorst are now paid in full
Maybe you can afford to buy some players now.
Auburn mastered that long ago, cAm I right?Maybe you can afford to buy some players now.
Steroids at least.Maybe you can afford to buy some players now.
Just how fucked up is Tennessee that Les Miles turned them down so that he could take the Kansas job?
He got kids to come play at stoolwater and had three straight winning seasons going to bowls. When he took them over they were pathetic. He has recruiting ties in Texas and Louisiana and if he can flip players from schools like Houston, LA directionals and maybe pluck a star out of nearby st Louis and kansas city he can build a respectable team. It's a good hire for kansas.I still can’t fathom how this is going to be a good hire. But to each their own.
and that right there says a lot about Miles as a coachExpectation. Tennessee wants a coach to come in, stomp a mud hole in bama, whip Florida's ass, win the east, win the sec and bring home the natty, in less than 3 years.
Kansas just wants to win 6 games, eventually.
I'd say he turned them down and took kansas because of expectations.
Sure but hes in his 60s and prolly doesn't want the pressure. He had it once and reached that peak. The fire isnt there but the love of wanting to coach is.and that right there says a lot about Miles as a coach
It’s Les dude. No one wants a 60 plus year old guy to rebuild a program and expect him to stick around... unless that program is desperate which Kansas is. Love Les, wish him the best, expecting the worst.
