Don't believe it. No sane person gives up 5 million to coach Kansas. That would be the absolute worst decision in the history of man kind:

Coach's salaries now are ridiculous. Miles current payments pale in comparison to what bad coach's are being paid now.

Miles is giving up $5,000,000 for the next five years for a contract that will gaurantee him $25,000,000 for the next five years. I am guessing that a coach with SEC ties, that has won a NC, can command a $5,000,000 salary per year from a Power 5 school.

Now, a coach like Mike Riley will never be paid more than the $2,000,000 per year that Nebraska is paying him until Feb 2021, so you won't see him asking for a buyout from Nebraska, and I bet Nebraska has been asking.

I don't think it will be Kansas though. There are two schools in Florida, in the ACC, that might be more attractive.

What about Miles returning to Okla State?

He was 2-2 vs The Sooners.

0-4 vs Texas though, 28-21 overall record and 16-16 conference record, 0 conference titles and 1-2 bowl record. He would get rolled even worse if he came back to the Big 12 with his awful offensive philosophy.

Gundy is the Lord himself in Stillwater. He’ll NEVER get fired.

Yeah, Miles is at his best at a place where he can't recruit better players than his opponents are able to. His record doesn't indicate he would be good at the reverse.

There was a time when Miles was touted as the Next coach
of the Dallas Cowboys.

Maybe he is waiting for Jones to pull the plug on Garrett

They really should look at Ken Nailapuaotlololol from Navy. They're never going to get the spread recruits needed to compete in Big 12 country, but that sort of offense could work there since none of the Big 12 teams face that sort of offense ever really.

I think the grass eater's best option would be Louisville. Easier to recruit to than Kansas. He wouldn't be able to pull down much of a salary at a MAC school, and neither Florida school has a opening, yet. And neither does USC - although that may just be a matter of time.

I don't understand why anyone would take the Kansas job unless it was the only Power 5 school that they could get the head coaching position.
