I'm not pissed at Riley, I'm pissed at that SOB Eichorst. He said this was going to be a slam dunk hire! WOW!

Did he say that? Or did you assume that was what he meant? Did you get your hopes up that we would have a $7 million coach and now you're pissed because we have $3 million dollar coach.

He said what we needed was a coach that would put us in place to win championships. He also said we had resources to pay for that but money was not the tell all. He said there were plenty of people that had spent lots of money and still didn't win.

Then the speculating began and people who didn't know a damn thing started getting their names out their by putting their speculations out there and pretty soon everyone had decided it had to be Tressel.

Eichorst actually never said a word about what he was going to hire.

Everyone needs to back it down a notch and give the guy a chance. And quit slandering a guy who at this point did nothing but what was needed and something Nebraska's hero was not willing to do.

Even though I have hardly any reason to be optimistic about this hire, I also realize it's completely out of my hands, and I'll try my best to not complain until I see some really bad seasons or worse yet, losing seasons.

By the way, don't let Brasky fool you, he was really pissed at this hire also.
