He has Josh Robinson as the 4th rated CB now ahead of Gilmore? I think he may be getting over rated because of his combine.
i was never really impressed by gilmore to begin with. kinda surprised everyone seems so high on him.
Which is a little weird since I believe that's the guy Mayock said doesn't play anywhere near his times speed at the combine.
I'd take Sanu or Randle over Stephen Hill or Alshon Jeffery.
I don't know. If he is still there at 30, his size and athleticism would be too much to pass up. All he needs is someone to convince him that meticulous routes and smart investments will make him, his entire family and great great great great great grandkids all millionaires.
I would be happy with any of the three over Jeffery, and I thought he would be a top-10 pick after his freshman season. Amazing what a couple of years can change.
That's the thing. He didn't do much at Georgia Tech besides run go routes. Do we need a down field burner or a guy who can help pick up first downs?
A burner for a couple of years, then a great route-runner with All-Pro possibilities in year 3. You can't teach that size, speed and hands. It's probably moot because I don't see him lasting past the Texans. Either way, I would be fine with Sanu or Randle, unless, by some miracle, Peter Konz is still on the board. I'm also fine with trading back because Sanu or Randle might still be around for the first five picks of the second round.
Not so sure about his hands. According to Mayock he had 5 or 6 drops last year.
Mayock: Drops won't hurt WR Hill
WR Stephen Hill's bad drops in 2011 shouldn't hurt him in the draft, NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock said. “I counted five or six drops among 28 catches,” he said. “But when you watch him catch the ball, he's a natural hands catcher so I think it's more concentration and discipline than anything else.”

I do agree with you about Konz if he's still there. If not, trading back and trying to pick up Randle or Sanu early 2nd sounds good to me.
