Oklahoma is 1-0 vs. Michigan beating them for the National Championship in 1975. Can't wait to go to the Big House.

Add 12 years to that lol. Likely to be pretty different by then. I wouldn't be surprised if one of the two schools win another national title by then.

Oklahoma has scheduled:
2014 Tennessee
2015 @ Tennessee
2016 Ohio State
2017 @ Ohio State
2018 UCLA
2019 @ UCLA
2020 @ Army (don't know where this came from)
2021 Nebraska
2022 @ Nebraska
2023 open
2024 open
2025 Michigan
2026 @ Michigan

LSU TBD

Can anyone do better than that???
Well, maybe two or three meaningful OOC games per season? That would be nice for every school.

The Big 12 only gets 3 OOC games per season...

Then make 'em meaningful. I tire of conferences, like the SEC, who play almost no one, bringing in a parade of FCS and last place FBS teams to play.

I like to think that we try...I wouldn't want to have to play OU in Norman, and would think twice about having them in my place as well.

Michigan has:
2015 Utah, Oregon State
2016 Colorado
2017 Florida
2018/2019 Arkansas
2020/2021 VT
2022/2023 UCLA

I'm not trying to act like this is a world beater OOC but it's not hard to see why they scheduled Oklahoma so far out.

It's going to be Michigan with head coach Carlos Hyde vs the Oklahoma Sooners with head coach Colt McCoy.

Oklahoma has 42 conference championships. They claim 44, but have 42.

The rest of us tired long ago of BSU fans wasting our time talking about major conferences (especially your favorite, the SEC) "bringing in a parade of FCS and last place FBS teams" yet conveniently neglecting to include BSU's schedule for comparison.

Over the BCS era in NON-BOWL GAMES

in the number of non-conference games played
# 1 Boise St. 72 BSU has played MORE OOC games than any SEC team
# 2 Alabama 60
# 3 Auburn 58
# 3 Arkansas 58
# 3 Florida 58
# 3 Georgia 58
# 3 Kentucky 58
# 3 LSU 58
# 3 Mississippi 58
# 3 Mississippi St. 58
# 3 South Carolina 58
# 3 Tennessee 58
# 3 Vanderbilt 58

in games vs FCS foes
# 1 Boise St. 14 BSU has played MORE FCS games than any SEC team
# 2 Kentucky 13
# 3 Auburn 12
# 3 Mississippi St. 12
# 3 Vanderbilt 12
# 6 Arkansas 11
# 6 Georgia 11
# 6 Mississippi 11
# 9 Florida 9
# 9 LSU 9
# 9 South Carolina 9
# 12 Alabama 7
# 13 Tennessee 4

in OOC games vs Major opponents
# 1 South Carolina ( 25 ) 43.10%
# 2 Georgia ( 25 ) 43.10%
# 3 Vanderbilt ( 23 ) 39.66%
# 4 Florida ( 21 ) 36.21%
# 5 Tennessee ( 18 ) 31.03%
# 6 Kentucky ( 17 ) 29.31%
# 7 Boise St. ( 20 ) 27.78% BSU has played a LOWER % than the average SEC team (28.53%)
# 8 Auburn ( 16 ) 27.59%
# 9 LSU ( 14 ) 24.14%
# 10 Alabama ( 13 ) 21.67%
# 11 Arkansas ( 10 ) 17.24%
# 12 Mississippi St. ( 9 ) 15.52%
# 13 Mississippi ( 8 ) 13.79%

in OOC games vs teams with D1A winning records
# 1 Florida ( 32 ) 55.17%
# 2 Alabama ( 29 ) 48.33%
# 3 South Carolina ( 27 ) 46.55%
# 4 Georgia ( 26 ) 44.83%
# 5 Boise St. ( 27 ) 37.50% BSU has played a LOWER % than the average SEC team (37.82%)
# 6 Tennessee ( 20 ) 34.48%
# 7 Mississippi ( 19 ) 32.76%
# 7 Mississippi St. ( 19 ) 32.76%
# 7 Arkansas ( 19 ) 32.76%
# 7 Auburn ( 19 ) 32.76%
# 7 Kentucky ( 19 ) 32.76%
# 12 LSU ( 18 ) 31.03%
# 13 Vanderbilt ( 17 ) 29.31%

So, in OOC games, the SEC is playing schedules on average that are better than BSU.

Let's look at the bigger picture in non bowl games.

BSU has the best record over the BCS era with a W/L record of 162-29. The 191 games played by BSU means that only 10 teams have played more than BSU has played (Hawaii, Oklahoma, Nebraska, USC, Fresno St., Florida St., Virginia Tech, Wisconsin, Alabama, and Tulsa).

BUT...
in the 16 year span BSU has played 14 FCS team which means that only 13 teams out of the 125 D1A teams have played more FCS foes than BSU has played (Kent St., Arkansas St., Marshall, Central Fla., Kansas St., Kansas, Connecticut, Northern Ill., N.C. State, La.-Lafayette, Idaho, South Fla., and La.-Monroe) and NONE of those are SEC teams.

in the 16 year span BSU has played just 20 BCS team which means that only 6 teams out of the 125 D1A teams have played fewer BCS foes than BSU has played (Air Force, Western Ky., Massachusetts, UTSA (TX), South Alabama, Georgia State, and Texas St.-San Marcos) and NONE of those are SEC teams.
The SEC team with the fewest BCS foes is Ole Miss with 136.

in the 16 year span BSU has played just 13 AP ranked team which means that only 10 teams out of the 125 D1A teams have played fewer ranked foes than BSU has played (Middle Tenn. St., La.-Lafayette, Northern Ill., Toledo, FIU, Fla. Atlantic, Western Ky., Massachusetts, UTSA (TX), Texas St.-San Marcos, Georgia State, and South Alabama) and NONE of those are SEC teams. The SEC team with the fewest AP ranked foes is UGa with 57.

in the 16 year span BSU has played just 3 AP top 10 ranked team which means that only 6 teams out of the 125 D1A teams have played fewer top 10 ranked foes than BSU has played (Eastern Mich., Georgia State, Massachusetts, Texas St.-San Marcos, UTSA (TX), and South Alabama) and NONE of those are SEC teams.
The SEC team with the fewest top 10 foes is Vandy with 26.

in the 16 year span BSU has played just 37.17% of its schedule vs teams with D1A winning records which means that only 6 teams out of the 125 D1A teams have played schedules with a lower % of opponents with winning records than BSU has played (Western Ky., Troy, Arkansas St., Middle Tenn. St., La.-Lafayette, and Georgia State) and NONE of those are SEC teams. The SEC team with the lowest % of opponents with D1a winning records is Ole Miss with 52.68%.

It would seem that VERY few teams play as poor of a schedule as BSU plays year in and year out. You can look at at any ranking system that you want and you will find that EVERY team in the SEC has played a stronger regular season schedule over the BCS era than BSU. Every BSU fan with even half a brain knows that talking SOS is NOT a bright idea. They are aware of the old adage "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."!
