Stephen A Smith is saying that its 50/50 on Lebron leaving Miami next year... why would he do that? He has won 2 rings and been to the Finals every season since he has been with us. What would be his purpose to opt out and sign elsewhere? If Miami could get a dominant center then there is no reason this team cant go again to the Finals for the next couple years.

I saw that too and was astonished about how ridiculous he sounded. He said it's likely that Lebron heads out to LA or NY.

Cleveland - Only they value their players. Outside of Kyrie Irving, who would you want from that team to replace someone from our team?

New York Knicks - That roster is strapped at this point and Melo's likely to be out of there after next season.

Lakers - I probably lol'd at this one. They think because they're the Lakers they can just get anyone they want by any means. Who's going to be there to put around Lebron?

I'm sure Lebron remembers what the first year was like with the Big 3 in Miami. Does he really want to have to go through all that crap again? I love all this speculation and training camp hasn't even started yet.

#HEATSummerLeague final: HEAT 94 - Magic 80. James Ennis 19pts 6rebs, Jarvis Varndo 16pts, Ian Clark 15pts, Cedric Jackson 5pts 8rebs 9asts.

It looks like Varnado is really coming into his own. He has the length to be a really good rim defender and decent rebounder. If he develops a baseline jumper, then he could be our next Udonis Haslem.

Chris Andersen will sign a one-year deal to return to the Heat, league sources tell Y! Sports.

I'm going to be disgusted with Pat if on opening night we do not have a real Center on our roster.

He doesn't have to be good but just someone with size to him and can rebound.

I'm guessing it will be Dalembert at this point. Jarvis Varnado looks like he's been tearing it up in the summer league, but that's against players who'll likely be in the D-League or Europe. Amnestying Joel might be the only way to free up roster space. I also like James Ennis as he looks like he could be a good prospect for added depth.

If they arent going to amnesty Miller, then they really need to use it on Joel. It was a bad contract when he initially signed it.. Dalembert would be a nice pick up.. still baffled why we didnt offer Kaman that same deal LA did.. but I still have a feeling Oden is going to come here, and if healthy (big IF) then that is a serious threat.

We haven't heard from Oden yet. I agree that Pat Riley may be saving that 15th slot for another "Birdman" type acquisition. Or maybe Asik will get so frustrated with the Rockets he would want to sign for cheap with Miami. That's just hoping.

I'd love to have Asik as he's essentially the missing component of what's making Miami a damn near perfect team. But he's under contract and there's no way that he can sign for cheap.

we really need a real center.

Look at the top teams in the east excluding us.

Bulls- Noah, Boozer, and Gibson

Indy- West and Hibbert

Brooklyn- Lopez, KG, Blatche, and evans

I'm just worried about Indiana. I just can't see Chicago being any better than we've already seen them. Brooklyn is just a bunch of parts thrown together.

At this point the only viable option is Greg Oden, if he can stay healthy and that's a big IF. He would be suitable to have against the aforementioned teams. The Heat are the one team that he can play for where we can actually limit his minutes and build him up like they did with Birdman. But those knees will always have me wondering.

Looks like the heat will use the amnesty provision on mike miller - very unfortunate as he has proven he can contribute in his own small ways when called upon ... Thought it would be Joel . Lets see what we do with Joel and the little extra money we have

Heat just amnestied Mike Miller. Apparentally he is due 6.6 million but becaue of the salary cap it saves Miami about 15 million.

Cant say I blame the Heat. 15 million for Mike Miller isnt worth it. he was huge for Miami.. but we have other shooters.. shane/ray/james jones.. all can play that position.

Not surprised at all. He also had a player option for the following season and that is what did him in.

I'm not surprised as well and apparently he saw this coming. I appreciate everything Mike did for the Heat these past 3 seasons. That game 5 in the 2012 NBA Finals will likely go down as one of his most memorable games ever in his career. Good luck where ever you go Mike!

This move makes me think that James Ennis is now going to make the roster, since the Heat need to add some youth to the bench.

im not convince Mike Miller doesnt resign. I havent heard word on any suitors. I dont think his body will allow him to get a ton of minutes anymore.

He'll still find his way on a contending team. He just won't get the money that Miami gave him. He can still be a suitable role player off the bench that can give you 10-12 minutes per game. Besides, he'll be getting $6.2 mil this season and $6.8 mil next season from the Heat.
