I know im probably the only one which is fine. We are all entitled to different opinions. But i feel like Riley failed again this free agency just like he did when lebron left. Im sure he will make some kind of move next year, but i feel like this year will be a bust year.

You say he failed in free agency when LeBron left. How? He brought in Deng. He also signed some center name Whiteside. He lost LeBron. That happens. LeBron wanted out. But Riley's moves that offseason just resulted in 174 million in contracts this offseason between Deng and Whiteside. Let alone keeping Bosh.

That free agency period that season may have been some of Riley's best work.

As far as Caron goes, I am okay with bringing him in. But he will be 37 when the playoffs start next year. He would be a fine veteran. But we bring him in, he has to come off the bench and let Winslow get the majority of SF minutes. It also has to be cheap.

I agree. Many live in the past. We need to continue to develop players and give young bucks a chance.

Neh. I'd much rather go with undrafted, hungry, athletic players like Tyler.
There is no upside in the dinosaurs like Caron.

The only thing that really needs to resolved now is the Bosh situation.
My mindset would have been opposite if Durant was coming, but at this point the Heat just need to NOT medically clear him and start planning for the summer of '17.

I'm in the mindset, right now, as I was at the end of the '15 season.
I'm cool being a lottery team with next years draft class.
Being a 7-8 seed, first round loser does nothing for me.

Thats the spirit! not.

We're not Sacramento.
Look how missing the playoffs but getting Winslow/Richardson makes our long term future brighter.

The Bosh situation is nobody's fault, but it's a major concern.
There's only 1 SURE was to get it resolved.

I get all that. I was being sarcastic, somewhat. Point being, its way too early to be predicting our playoff fate for next season one way or another. The off-season adding of players period just recently started. Like I said before, we've missed out on some guys but its not the end of times because of it. We still have enough resources and time to form a quality team - whether Bosh is in the mix or not. With Riles, there is no rebuilding, only reloading - it may not be to the most desirable extent every off-season, but he still gets it done. This time will be no different.

Actually, we don't, unless I'm missing something.
Wades getting the rest of the cap space.
We added a max player in Whiteside.
Other then Durant, we've missed out on nothing, and to get him we'd have been forced to give up Dragic/McBob.
I think our future additions are limited to mostly if not all minimums plus the one 3.9M spot which gets you nothing.

Riley can't cure blood clots.
Sorry Bosh.

Shit my bad. Posted the same thing. Caron would bring that floor spacing, outside shooting, veteran leadership, and defense intangibles we lost out on with the departure of Deng. Hope we get him

He definitely would be good for Winslow, Richardson, and Whiteside.

I'm all for paying Wade, but paying Wade $20 mil when he's 37 years old seems a bit foolish. I'm glad the Heat are hesitant in doing so. At this juncture, I'd rather focus on the rebuilding of this team around Whiteside, Richardson, and Winslow. Given the draft class next year along with Bosh's situation, I'm all for tanking for next season.

Looks like the once thought to be bitter and miserable Dan Gilbert is willing to go into that luxury tax to better his team 54 million is the price tag. Meanwhile, Arison doing nothing but waiting on the diva

If I'm Miami, I'm trying to trade Dragic to a team who we think is going to be in the lottery, but who they themselves think will be competitive with a good combo guard getting 30 minute a game. As someone noted, the Dragic deal looks reasonable now, but it's still a lot of committed money the next few seasons - and next years draft seems to be loaded. Getting 2 lottery tickets in 2017 could really propel us. Combine that with a lot more cap space in 2017 ---- BOOM.

I'd definitely love to be in the lottery next year given that we're not doing anything in the playoffs. Not sure we can get a lottery pick though.
