Multiple local news sources reporting the Heat are offering Wade 2/40$ contract. Giving him a chance to again opt out after the first year of the contract to be the center of attention again, at least for the team in the off-season -- Thats a bit much to offer but I guess it could be worse

I am guessing he wants the Heat to scrap the entire roster so that they can allocate all the money for him.

I know im probably the only one which is fine. We are all entitled to different opinions. But i feel like Riley failed again this free agency just like he did when lebron left. Im sure he will make some kind of move next year, but i feel like this year will be a bust year.

What should he have done? Went for Durant and a Championship with one hand behind his back - Bosh's health, and his star player wanting his money. We were not going to role with Deng and Johnson at 18 M per year and 11M per year. We got the second best free agent reListically out there ( Bron was not) and may end up with him and Wade. The latter signing might cripple us in the future but everyone needed it and the Arisons felt it was owed to Wade I am sure.

How did he fail? What was he supposed to do? Money was limited.

I am assuming your feeling in such a way because we missed out on KD -- And/or haven't yet bowed down Wade's demands to put an end to the drama HE caused sooner rather than later. Which ever of those that it may be, or if its both -- to think that this coming season will be a " bust" especially this early in the FA process and process of player additions period -- is a bit silly. Sure, we have missed out on some of the top guys - but thats what happens when we have to unnecessarily focus on Wade because he has made himself the focus again.

I am most disappointed we missed out on Jamal Crawford - noted Heat-killer

Wade got his but has no business complaining about the team he has. He will meet to play at least as many games as last year and at the same high level for his contract to be worth it. Again, not sure if he is coming back but would seem crazy for him not to be back.

Be it money or years, the demands are too much.

Considering his sacrifices throughout his career, asking for more than a 2 year deal isn't too much. He has opted out for the better of the team and took less money time after time for the better of the team. The least they can do is give him a 3 year deal so he can retire a Heat

He sacrificed so HE could also win. Let's not get carried away. He wanted Haslem and Lebrons and Bosh so gave up money. He more than made up for it with endorsements, fame and recognition. I am tired of people talking about NBA players sacrificing when 1-6 people in the US are hungry. They only take less money because it is better for them or helps appease their guilt...

I will say this, whether they retain Wade or not - which I believe they will. I get the feeling a series of move will quickly then follow to fill the roster. Riles always has a plan. Reading about the possibility of a Udrih-reunion. He has been hanging out at the Heat facility since we injury/waived him this past season.

You're definitely the only one. Take a minute and look at the contracts that have been handed out right now as well as the uncertainties surrounding Bosh right now.

Shit my bad. Posted the same thing. Caron would bring that floor spacing, outside shooting, veteran leadership, and defense intangibles we lost out on with the departure of Deng. Hope we get him

Interesting post I just saw. Wade asked for 3 years and 50 million last year and now will end up with 3 and 60. Stop whining....
