Hopefully Whiteside can cut down on the bad fouls and terrible long jump shots and Spoles wont have to get away from him so early. Should be an easier night on him not having to deal with Al Jefferson and his low post abilities. I really hope Whiteside can break through this year, and he played much better in the second half last night.. but man he started the game looking like complete trash.

On a side note. Justise Winslow is winning the ROY. That's my one game synopsis.

I started watching midway through the 2nd (damn you PST). First play I saw was Whiteside shooting a 15-footer. Please don't tell me this has been a regular thing. If so, it's about as infuriating as watching Josh Smith shoot 3's.

Honestly, we missed an unusual number of wide open looks + James has been on fire.
Down 5 isn't bad at all.

Only shot like that he took.
There was a reason they didn't guard him, he just didn't get the memo.

Bosh and Wade doing their thing so far - we need to find the balance we had the other night

He's big as hell, he needs to work on taking Mozgov down in the post. Plays like that will definitely take you out of getting that max contract.

Na its not that bad yet. He shot one in both of the first 2 games. I prefer that number at 0 unless he has to shoot it meaning shot clock is close to expiring

I will say we are getting out hustled and allowing too many 2nd chance opportunities.
They need to correct that if they are serious about winning this.

7,6, and 2 for Whiteside. Bosh and Wade in double figures.

Deng, Dragic, and the bench need to pick it up a bit.

I don't mind Whiteside taking jumpers. I think he needs to develop that into his game. But the midrange jumpers kill me. All his shots right now should be 8-10 feet and in. Preferably 8 feet and in.

If it is not something he practices and been working on since the summer I don't want him taking it.....And based on how badly he's missing his jumpshots I doubt he's been practicing it for a very long period of time

Shots simply not falling for the Heat but its not just a matter of keep taking those shots and they will fall but maybe try to create better, easier, higher percentage shots to get going
