It's not an excuse. When you're losing late in the 4th, you don't want to have 3 or 4 guys who been having a bad night. You go with the guys who has been playing well because the game is jeopardy. Are you retarded?

Saw most of the game. It was nice to see Gerald Green break out of his slump. I'm sure Dragic will figure it out, I'm not too worried about him yet.

Whiteside played good defense and I'm glad the team came together, even if Bosh and Wade didn't have the best of games.

I'm still concerned about the bench. Too much pressure is on Tyler and Gerald to score. When one of them is off, it usually means 15 points or less for the bench. Tonight those two combined for 21 which was why we had a good game off the bench offensively. Winslow scoring will come and go which is expected but his defense will always be there.

McRoberts is the wildcard. Tonight he finally did something good. Wasn't able to score more than 2 points but he managed to grab 9 rebounds including 3 OFF rebounds. If he's not scoring he needs to at least do that. Otherwise he is useless.

Home Stand was a success as expected. I think all of us would have taking 6-1. We are establishing ourself as a good home team which is critical for a top 5 seed. We need to aim for about 28 home wins at minimum and about 18 road wins. That should be enough for a top 4 seed out east

This hasn't been mentioned much this season, but what I like most of Hassan this season is he is keeping his attitude in check and not getting silly fouls or technicals as was the case far too often last season.

I just looked at next month but from DEC 16-DEC 29 seems like we can go on a nice run. Here are our games in that stretch.

Our schedule's actually fairly balanced from here on out (I haven't look at whether they're road or away, just opponent). Our next chance at a good stretch is late March into early April:

Mar. 25th vs. Orlando
Mar. 28th vs. Brooklyn
Mar. 30th @ Los Angeles Lakers
Apr. 1st @ Sacramento
Apr. 2nd @ Portland
Apr. 5th vs. Detroit
Apr. 7th vs. Chicago
Apr. 8th @ Orlando

With that schedule, it's possible that Miami goes 6-2 over that stretch, maybe even 7-1. Detroit and Chicago are the question marks there. Also depends on what happens around the trade deadline.

Amir's Stoudemire was limited to working on the side at today's practice after missing Monday's game against the Knicks due to illness.

It makes perfect sense. Otherwise, he'd be in a suit every game night. See what he can do in the d-league and see if he could be a role player down the line.
