Like everything Gerald is saying here post game - dodging taking credit for the night he had and giving it all to his teammates for helping him out - Gave props to Joe Johnson for making things easy for him tonight on some plays -- seems no wade helped his cause...

I don't think so either. Its not to say he isn't capable of such games -- its just the circumstances: opponent, Wade sitting out - SAC being out some key guys -- a lot of things contributed to G-Squared having the game he had. Not sure he does it again today but the momentum should at least carry over to the early parts of the game.


Something tells me Wade and the Heat will tease us tonight with the " He will warmup with the intention to play" but then decide not to.

Lets see if we can clinch things tonight

1) Doubt Wade plays unless he feels much better today. He could barely walk or turn his head left or right and said its unlikely. Also almost all the time when players warmup with the intention to play, they almost always do.

Maybe he put on the MAXXI pads on too tight. He looked just fine while approach and talking to Caron Butler.

As for Green, like McRoberts and really any player in a similar situation as them -- for them to be consistent they need consistent PT. But credit G-Squared for staying ready even though he hasn't played much of late - for all his inconsistencies this season - He has continuously shown he is willing to put in the work necessary to be the contributor we need him to be on a given night. He has come a long way in his career in that regard

If someone has back problems and can't move much, forcing them to play isn't a good idea unless you're trying to lose on purpose

If the Heat don't win on those 50-50 chances and don't execute on every possession , Portland could very well blow us out. Chances we have had to score and missed -- they've countered with execution and points.

We need to take care of the ball and get quality shots each time

Our first point of about 5 turnovers by POR so far finally in the lead. Even though Winslow is in there, I like that Spo went in a different direction tonight with the bench instead of going to the two rookies early - he mixed in others in first
