I keep hope alive until I see official word come from the Heat and/or our more trusted Heat beat writers

NBA Trade Deadline Winners and Losers: Opportunity passes teams by

Posted this because it means Ryan Anderson -- the guy on the Pelicans I was hoping we would go for - and doesn't he fit what the Heat are looking for financially in an expiring contract? And a quality shooter rather than trade for someone you aren't going to use. Just my thoughts

Tanking starting again? hmm... might start eventually if it becomes the only route... hopefully not

But we can still acquire him for our D-league team, right?

Pretty sure most of you knew this already but it was just brought to my attention as my mind has been elsewhere -- the season has ended in China. So, any players of interest from there, we can at least now go after them.

Who are your candidates? OTHER than the famous Michael Beasley, of course

Miami now can sign a player to the veteran’s minimum without fearing significant tax ramifications, though the Heat would need to wait a couple of weeks to sign players to stay below the tax line. Staying below that threshold gives the Heat added flexibility in future sign-and-trades and use of salary cap exceptions.

This is the part I was not aware of that I just learned about in the article posted here via Barry Jackson. We can now sign someone but will have to wait a while in order to stay below tax line. Thats the tough part given our current roster situation

Wouldn't mind Lee or Vareojao

Hope is they don't have to go to J-Rich as early or as often tonight otherwise it could get uglier even quicker -- or it means it already got ugly
