Spolestra still has Green in this game....unbelievable........besides the bad halftime adjustments and this set in the 4th, it looks like we will give one away here.

A vintage Wade turnover in the clutch gives up another 3 and this game is over

I'm not mad. Clippers and Spurs are better than us. We can't play basketball against either team and expect to win. Need to play better on Tuesday. Praying that Hassan starts

So, with this we will likely go into the AS break 29-24 -- someone in here will bitch about that as he usually does about anything he can find to bitch about - but after last season -- most of us would take it, right?

Generally, I would agree with you. However, I think we blew both games versus a short handed Clippers team because we just got schooled in the 3rd quarter in both games. We had a double digit lead in LA that we blew and we were right there in this one even with Bosh shooting so poorly until Doc and his team just adjusted better and played better. Green was not very good on defense, and he continued that trend in the 4th. Such is life. The Spurs will be tough and may really hand it to us if we don't bring focus.

Clippers are 17-4 without Blake. This is a talented basketball team. As long as CP is there they're fine.I agree that we blew the game in LA but this game we did not blow. They just outplayed us basically from the 2nd quarter on. No issue on my end. We got shots we usually make but missed. Hard for us to win when both Wade and Bosh struggle.

I just want this Amare starting experience to end now

Likely won't see that until after the All-Star break...He tweaked his ankle in this one. This team was just outsmarting itself in the 4th. Letting Green cover Paul was moronic late in the 4th.

To be clear, you just want the Amare-starting experiment to end, correct? Because when he wasn't playing people were asking why

Interesting watching Spolestra in the post game show...they asked about why Hassan was not in there in the 4th and was basically speachless (so maybe not hurt) and just another one of those brilliant coaching decisions like not fouling Jordan in the 4th and having Green cover Paul.

Yeah that needed to be Winslow or Goran IMO

Fouling Jordan did not make sense to be honest with you. We had 3 fouls to give. Clippers would have been able to replace him by the time they were in the penalty so I totally understand why he didn't foul him.

He wasn't hurt after all. Only reason he didn't play the rest of the way as was reported by the court-side reporter - he was removed because he was frustrated with some calls and the way he was being played and it seemed best to let him sit and cool off - with CB struggling and Amare useless, that probably wasn't the best approach - but certainly not the reason we lost - though I am sure you will find any way to justify blaming Spo

Correct. I prefer him as the backup big over McRob or Bird but he should not be starting

We will likely finish the first half 29-24 with a 16-11 home record unless Pops gives his players all the day off against us with all of his players back to play Wednesday against Orlando on the 2nd night of back to back but they likely get the break. The good during this first half has been Hassan's play, Wade's ability to stay in the lineup, and Bosh's consistency through today, as well as very solid defense. Meanwhile, the bad has been the awful 3rd quarter performances for 2 consecutive years and the second worst offense in the league. Hard to believe with a team with Bosh, Wade, Dragic, Deng and Whiteside..........

Will be very important to win those first two games after the All-Star break if we want to build momentum for the stretch run.
