After 20 games, you generally know your team. Seems like we are a bad team that plays above average at home. A good defensive team that struggles offensively. 12-8 with early heavy home schedule and catching breaks catching teams witout their better players. Ummm. Hope we get better or some of those early season projections by the computers may come to fruition.

The loss to the Wizards didn't bother me as much as this one. The Wizards bench hit everything. All their mid range shots, and the Heat defense was there.. they just hit. Down 20+. I hope Wade/Bosh/Dragic.. the older verterans on the team don't play in the 4th. One game of 82, we looked bad bad bad. Time to regroup this thing.

Spoles is going to have to coach this season. Maybe more so then he has had to since the Wade/Beasley/J'Oneal years.

Said it often during the big 3 era, must be said tonight again - this team simply doesn't have the mental toughness to play through adverse moments of a game. Their effort always leaves so much to be desires to begin with - and when things get tough, they try even less. That will be the best part of Wade finally calling it a career at some point - we can finally find more guys that will play with more heart and desire.

And for the record, the Heat did make the run I expected early in the third but as I knew it wouldn't be good enough - can't expect much when your so called franchise player only has 11 points and is playing like a swollen vagina

Im glad Spo took out most of the starters out of the game save for Deng - the other idiots are not trying and its spreading.

One way to look at it. Some would lave the starters in there to stew over the butt whipping. Down 26. Still waiting for our run. The good news is that we increased from 17 points in th fist to 19 in the 2nd but then after Spolestra's halftime adjustments we bettered our first quarter score by one! 17, 19 and 18. Great offense.

LOL. That's what I say when it comes to feel for the game and my criticism of our coach and his use of analytics...Can't have it both ways.

I don't think we are a bad team. I think we are a solid team who will struggle on some nights. This is what we are. We don't have good shooting on this team and our best player is on the wrong side of 30 and has bad knees. 12-8 projected out over a season is 49 wins. 49-33 is about right for this team. A top 4 seed in the East with a home playoff team. The top end of this team is the ECF. We aren't good enough to beat Cleveland barring a LeBron injury. This team desperately needs shooting.

Home or road its the same shit. Very little differences to playing at home or road with this team - the slow starts would still come and they would get out effort by the opponent as well.

As long as Wade is around, the Heat will always have within them what I call " selective-effort syndrome" he/they only try when they see fit

I agree it is the same shit ( unless we're playing the Cavs), but the difference is at home you can sometimes get away with all of the sluggishness and still win or have a chance to win against most teams.

On the road it snowballs into what we're seeing.

Its the same one way or another, IMO - as far as I know, home or road, the dimensions of the court are the same all around the league - nothing is different except for maybe at home you have most of the people rooting for you, while on the road its the opposite. The whole home/road nonsense is stupid. Its not like our crowd is any good unless we are winning.

You look around the league, really in any sports, even some of the worst teams have better fans and more support than that of what we get down here.

Calm down. One bad game. 12-8, is not a bad start. Just a week ago we beat OKC.

Were a shitty road team. I believe this is our 6th road and we got a shit pushed in 3 of the 6 times. Getting absolutely destroyed against Detroit and Charlotte is a bad look. We may win 3 games in January at this rate.

And you have accused me of overreacting? I know you aren't here often this season but its the same crap every now - as soon as the Heat get into a deficit, its like peoples worlds come crashing down.

As I said the other night, as far as I remember, no one here or outside of here had us going 82-0 so losses here and there are expect and will happen. The Heat will still be going to the playoffs this season.
