At the time Montana was better. Never said that backups can't get better or eventually be a starter especially when young but at that specific time they are a backup for a reason. You give me 1% and think it's the same in every case? Please don't be a lawyer in real life you would suck badly... A backup QB is a backup QB for a reason. Some can fill in admirably for a period of time look at foles as a recent example. Is he better than Wentz?
