As I mentioned in the last thread -- the Dolphins could be in position to clinch with a win in this game. Will post scenarios as they are announced.
To be in for sure they have to win out as they currently have the tie breaker with the Ravens. Today the Ravens won so it still stands.Going into this game, the Dolphins only chance was a wildcard spot -- that opportunity remains intact with the win. The Dolphins needed to win 2 of 3 in order to clinch -- meaning: If the Dolphins win Saturday vs the Raiders or the Bills on the final week, they are in. So, splitting the final two will not hurt them. Losing the final two will be a problem -- not sure any other result today would hurt them in any way. Anyone want to clarify?
Not true. Dolphins have to win out to guarantee a playoff spot. If they go 1-1 and Baltimore wins out, the Ravens are in. Get it together Paolo. Your Tua hate is clouding your mind.Going into this game, the Dolphins only chance was a wildcard spot -- that opportunity remains intact with the win. Eville, you are correct. Miami and Baltimore have same record, so if Miami wins out they are in regardless of what the Ravens do. If Ravens lose this week and Fins win they are in with a victory, that is only way they clinch playoff spot this week. Baltimore has NYG and Bengals left on schedule. NYG should be a W, after watching game last night, I give Bengals chance of beating Ravens, that game is in Cincy. Not true. Dolphins have to win out to guarantee a playoff spot. Smythe is no Gesicki, but he certainly showed he can provide some pass-catching help. The Fins are in control of their own destiny. 2 wins and they are in. That's much better than having to hope another team loses.
The running game looked great. Ahmed has a knack for finding yards even in goal line situations. In addition, he has excellent speed which leads to big gains. Breida just had his best game of the year. I know the Oline is capable of creating running lanes. They showed it Sunday. With a balanced offense the Fins have a good chance of scoring.
Tua plays with a lot of composure. The really good QBs are able to find receivers when they are open. That's what he does. He also mixes in timely runs when he needs to. Smythe had a great game. He is sure handed and is a good blocker
On defense if the Fins stop the Raiders running game then they should get QB pressures and turnovers.
Most may have heard the news already: Antonio Callaway was waived yesterday. His time with the team was unsurprisingly uneventful -- minus the suspension.
I thought he could make more of an impact with the injuries at WR. At least the Fins gave him a chance.
No doubt the refs are always helping the Cheatriots. That being said, I would want to look back at the play again. I think we can expect a player in that situation to say he did everything right -- it doesnt mean he did. Honestly, the fact that he is on our team -- the fact that it happened against the Cheatriots doesn't mean it did or didnt happen. I think we should look back at the play again.Apparently Kamu did report...just another BS situation where the refs are trying to help the patsies....in the end they failed!
Kamu Gruiger-Hill Insists he Reported as Eligible on Miami’s Trick Play and he has Witnesses
There we were again. The Dolphins went ahead and dazzled all of us with their moxy and intellect and ran another beautiful trick play out of their special teams that worked like they practiced it...www.thephinsider.com
