We don’t talk about BYU here. And that’s why I wouldn’t tell you. Plus, I didn’t know. It might be a blasphemy to you, but I didn’t know who Michael Smith was besides the description in your comment.

He was the TV broadcast color commentator for Clippers TV games for 18 years. I liked him. I was disappointed his stint with the Clippers ended 2 years ago.

But now I was excited to see him with the Jazz. So my excitement has nothing to do with his BYU history.

The Jazz Are The Best Team In Sports, for having Michael Smith.

I guess he fills in for Matt Harpring when Harpring can't make it? Is that what you think happens?

Your not knowing something is not blasphemy.

I think I've proven over the years how many things I don't know. There's even a series of threads named after this.

This is an old chart. You can tell, because it has SuperSonic broadcasters.

But, Michael Smith is in the quadrant where NBA Knowledge intersects with Objectivity.

Boone and Bolerjack are on the Homerism side.

The Jazz Are The Best Team In Sports.

If they weren't, they wouldn't be referenced on The Simpsons.

They don't mention ordinary or less than spectacular teams. They've mentioned the Raptors during the past few seasons, and now it's the Jazz.

Jeremy Lin is smiling.

Rudy Gobert Is The Best Player In Sports.

Agree @MHSL82?

If he hadn't gotten it when he did, and the league continued playing for a few more days, so many more people would have gotten it.

Nah. I’m never going to call any player the best. I may jokingly call someone the worst.

Well, you completely ruined / changed how I can follow up to that answer.

I don't know how to change my follow-up, so I'll just say it anyways, even if it doesn't make sense, in context with your answer.

If Rudy Gobert Is The Best Player In Sports, and he plays for the Utah Jazz . . . do you know what that makes the Utah Jazz?

Cmon @MHSL82, you can say it now.

Ok, I figured out how to follow up.

If the Jazz players Mitchell and Gobert testing positive for the corona virus helped the subsequent policies about limited social contact, and helped set off more people working from home, then the Utah Jazz helped save a lot of lives and a lot of people from getting sick.

So if the Utah Jazz helped do so much positive good, then do you know what that makes the Jazz?

I think this is a good time for you to finally say the Magic Words, in earnest, and not as a response to a troll.

Is Gobert the best FG% in Jazz History, with a minimum of a certain amount of attempts?

What about shot blocker?

Who are the worst free throw shooters in Jazz history, and where is Gobert relative to them?

Is Ingles the best passing Jazz SG/SF? Or maybe that's Hayward?

No, I don’t think Gobert has the best FT% in Jazz history.

I don’t think Hayward is the best shot blocker with a minimum number of attempts, either.

I don’t think Gobert has any relatives in Jazz history. And I don’t think he’s a SG/SF.

And Hayward plays for Charlotte, not the Jazz.

Just kidding. I with pro basketball reference didn’t start charging. I know that Mark Eaton would be the player to compare Gobert with. I never paid much attention to Hayward’s passing because I was in graduate school when he was here and saw very few games.

You messed up all of my questions.

And I meant whether Hayward was the best passing SG/SF in all of Utah Jazz history.

Thanks.

I really liked Hayward's passing. At the time, I said he was a better PG than Trey Burke.

He did average 5.2 assists in 2013-2014. And he's shooting .501 this year. Let's hope he can finish the season above +.500!

Not really interested in how Hayward does. He could have let the Jazz know he chose Boston earlier so we could have moved earlier in free agency. Or been competitive by staying with us. Or thrown the ball back at Deron Williams. Or helped walk grandmothers across the street on Christmas. Or donate French poodles to orphans or give the homeless X-Boxes to underprivileged donuts. Or spend less time x-raying Mike Tyson’s right elbow. Or chewed with his mouth closed when watching Old Yeller. Or helped Shaq change lightbulbs for the Irish. Or finished helping Burger King prepare their paper crowns for Jimmy’s birthday party. Or stop chasing the cat on Tuesdays at Tiffany’s.
