1)Urban Meyer's mentor (2nd only to his very father) is Earl Bruce.
2) Zach Smith is Earl Bruce's grandson.
3) The Meyer's have know Zach Smith since he was born and Zach is like a son to them.
4) Zach played for Urbs when he was head coach at Bowling Green.
5) Zach started his coaching career at Florida under Urbs.
6) Zach was then given a job at Ohio St when Urbs took that job.

Through all of the distraction, discrediting, and personal attacks on others, there is ONE and only ONE person (other than Zach And Courtney themselves) that had the incentive and influence to keep Zach Smith gainfully employed.
That would be Urbs.

So in the last day or so the mother of Courtney (Tina Carano) refuted the latest McMurphy article in which he shared texts supposedly from Tina to Zack where she confronts him about his abuse. Tina went on the comments of that article and said she doesn't remember saying anything like that and asked where he got those from as well as basically slamming him and admitting she hung up on him when he called her.

Now, Tina has quite a few photo's of her wearing OSU gear and posts talking about her love of bucknut football so she is both a player in this drama, and on team defend meyer at all costs.

It has been established that Courtney is estranged from her mother and that started a couple of months ago when a rift happened between them with her mom not standing up for her.

After McMurphy verified that indeed the real Tina Carano was bringing up doubt on the texts he provided, he came back and added an update to his story.

Yeah, I know so far this is just more of the same old drama and really no one gives a flying fuck as it's all beyond over the top.

So I share this specifically because McMurphy does know how to add a change to a story that isn't covert as he did in his prior stories. Sure, he might have learned a lesson with all of the backlash he's received, but when it serves his purpose he's all over adding a notated update to that article, when it didn't help him it was simply changed and only mentioned in comments below or other sites, not notated in the actual article.

FWIW, his response about those texts Carano was denying was that in 2015 Carano gave her ipad and phone to Courtney to share with the police as part of their investigation. He mentions that the police downloaded those texts for use in the investigation, however he does not state directly whether or not the copies he received were from the police in that FOIA or if it came from Courtney.

And no, I didn't go looking for this, nor do I get wrapped up in this never ending bullshit storm going on around this over so many social media sites. My wife told me about it in the context of being a mother and not supporting your kids and I found McMurphy's ability to suddenly know how to amend a story when it suits him to be interesting.

Are we at 14 days yet? :L ffs this shit just keeps getting deeper and deeper in stupidity, drama, assumptions, blind accusations, and all manner of derp.
Bump for @Across The Field

This is what I posted last night bringing up McMurphy's explanation of where those texts from her mother came from.

This is from his article on his FB page about her mother and those texts:
UPDATE: After my interview with Carano, she posted on Facebook that she didn’t remember the text message conversations to Courtney and added “where is the proof those texts are even from me or my phone?”

In November of 2015, Courtney said Carano willingly provided her cell phone and I-Pad to Courtney so that Carano’s text messages could be used in a Powell (Ohio) Police investigation of Zach Smith’s past domestic violence allegations.

While speaking with the Powell (Ohio) Police detectives in November of 2015, Courtney downloaded the information off Carano’s devices – with the permission of her mother – and provided these text messages to the detectives to be used as part of the investigation.
He actually posted UPDATE this time on the edited or added parts of the story. Still not in the normal way that true news sites would do so, but it's better than his last couple of efforts.

Again, he doesn't say he got those from the Police directly so I assume he got the copies from Courtney which of course still brings the possibility they were faked, doctored, or otherwise inaccurate.

Zach Smith appears to be a textbook domestic abuser.
Courtney Smith appears to be a textbook domestic abuse victim.
Efforts by those with incentive and/or influence to protect the abuser appear to be textbook cover-up.

The story couldn't be scripted any better by Hollywood.

View attachment 184870

Whether the OSU investigative committee comes to that conclusion remains to be seen.

Most likely not, because.....
Zach Smith is not going to incriminate himself for cycles of domestic abuse.
Urban Meyer and/or Gene Smith are not going to incriminate themselves for any influence they may have had in covering for Zach Smith.
The Powell PD are not going to incriminate themselves in being influenced.
What exactly was covered up?

I remember hearing about these, and then Carano ended up coming back refuting those I believe. There have been several times where's she's called out McMurphy for dishonesty.

Yes, and now his claim is she gave her phone and ipad to her daughter in '14 so she could take them to the police and share the texts between Carano and Zack which is how her daughter and supposedly the police came into having them.

It really doesn't take much digging into her mother to question how solid of a witness she is. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Neither are particularly credible at this point.

Again, there is enough doubt on both sides to simply declare it a giant cluster fuck and just wait for the real investigations to be completed before picking winners and losers. Just seems the best course.

I thought her claim was that she never actually did that. I could be wrong, I just remember her coming out multiple times about him.

You're right, the investigation going on right now (that's actually scheduled to wrap up this Wednesday) is the only one that matters. Anything else is irrelevant. He's not a coach anymore, so they can solve it all on their own time. I will say, though, this case is going to be a pretty big one regarding journalistic integrity moving forward, regardless of how this comes out. I've never seen anything like this in my life.

Yes, she made several posts to his FB article where she first said she doesn't remember having those conversations and then asked how he got them.

His response to that was quoted above. It's just so weird and muddled anymore that it's impossible to support anyone, anywhere.

I'd still be shocked to find Meyer fired, at least based off anything we do know or even has been suggested about his involvement to date. And there's no way McMurphy or any other reporter is sitting on damning information. They would absolutely throw anything and everything out there as found. So I highly doubt any other major bombshells concerning him are waiting to drop either in this report, or after it is released.

I also don't expect anything substantial to happen to McMurphy or snook, nor anyone else out the outside of this case. ESPN and other more mainstream sites might be a bit more hesitant to quickly repeat articles of his as they emerge, but that's about it. We are in a wild west of information where people turn to twitter at first word of a disaster instead of TV or other traditional sources. It has been happening for some time and is only getting worse. There doesn't appear to be any way to stop or even slow it down. There's too big of a willing audience ready to feast off every nugget posted. As long as their is that audience, there will be people doing what McMurphy and the rest are doing.

Because 11W actually did receive two reports from Powell PD.

It's remarkable that you're actually accusing me of being a conspiracy theorist, yet you ignore two police reports that I've linked and desperately cling to the supposed existence of a report that would give credit to the side that you so want to be right, even though not a single shred of evidence has been presented that says it exists.

LOL at your desperation.

I’m not ignoring anything, but I’m not going to pretend that police chief didn’t say if there’s something out it’s a mistake. Why the hell would he say that if something wasn’t out. They did the police report. You are strictly going by the report you have and vehemently denying there may be something with this report that they haven’t released.

An you have the balls to call me the desperate one.

Because there's no reason not to. Saying there isn't one for sure does nothing for him.

I'm going by what is factual. What is factual is that there are two police reports I linked that state no arrest. If you want to keep your tin foil hat on, blindly believing in something that has no evidence of existence, be my guest. Your desperation for the existence of this proves your conspiracy desires. Your jealousy fuels my laughter, tool. Again, sorry you won't get your pound of flesh.

TBH, it doesn't mean anything more than the claims McMurphy made shit up. Claiming it is factual it exists is at least a stretch at this point as until it is physically out there it isn't a fact. We have alternative sites claiming the police chief isn't letting copies of the original out, but has any so-called main stream site verified that?

So much of his articles are coming directly from Courtney who is at least suspect and biased based on her own language out there. We know McMurphy didn't reach out to the school, nor other officials before breaking this. And there are elements of her initial story that McMurphy has since had to go back and edit which is kind of proof you can't trust everything else this case is built off of.

There are very few verifiable 'facts' so far about anything. That's why it makes more sense to not try and sleuth this shit out based off sketchy bullshit on every blog/site out there trying to get clicks for kicks.

I am all willing to wait and see what happens. You are absolutely right, the police chief may have just been over stating and their may be nothing in that report that indicates an arrest.

But dealing with ATF and his absurd homerism brings me to respond to his BS that nothing McMurphy said is credible and the Ohio State website is absolute credibility.

That reminds me. I'm going to see Yo-Yo Ma perform the entire Bach Cello Suites this Sunday at Blossom Music Center.

I am getting old. . .

That's funny! I was actually thinking of going to that. I heard a commercial on WMJI the other day

Dude. You missed out. That performance was out of this world, and on a beautiful night, under the stars.

Yes it freaking does. It tells everyone that he was never arrested in a report before. It puts to bed the issue of McMurphys reporting that. It’s common sense. Do you not have any?

You are blindly following the report on an Ohio State website. You have no actual proof there isn’t a police report that wasn’t released. You are just following your homerism.

Your stupidity on here fuels everyone’s laughter, bitch.

Man, the lying to the media part is THE WORST. Crucify every coach who has done that...looks like we have a lot of open spots for head coaching positions available now. Pick and choose lolz. Can we have Saban then?
