Both McMurphy, whose word is gold, and Snook, who is a blind homer have both posted their articles on FB.

He wrote a book or something, but no one has ever heard of him. There are 'journalists' on bleacher report too, but most of us are smart enough to consider the source and not blindly follow them either.

There is no case where I'm taking a report written on someone's facebook page at face value. Not McMurphy, not this hack, not anyone. There's no editorial board review or name brand to protect. It's just not smart to take them as fact until they are vetted.

It's not a matter of what I do or don't believe. I find some of McMurphy's initial articles compelling, however I also see he only interviewed and took evidence from a small pool of available sources for this thing. He had to walk back things he said when things came up as it is which is proof he didn't do due diligence and double check sources.

Since this story broke I've just been on a wait and see what the investigations bring out and what the responses are to them. I think everyone will have a much clearer understanding of what happened then. That's not to say I don't think there could be lies, coverups, etc in those findings, but there shouldn't be anything close to the current 'throw everything at the wall and see what sticks' approach these alternative media types are doing.

It can go both ways. You have you’re good and bad. But that happens when money is involved. Which is a lot more common than some may realize when talking social media.And there’s a lot of financial stake here.

So in the last day or so the mother of Courtney (Tina Carano) refuted the latest McMurphy article in which he shared texts supposedly from Tina to Zack where she confronts him about his abuse. Tina went on the comments of that article and said she doesn't remember saying anything like that and asked where he got those from as well as basically slamming him and admitting she hung up on him when he called her.

Now, Tina has quite a few photo's of her wearing OSU gear and posts talking about her love of bucknut football so she is both a player in this drama, and on team defend meyer at all costs.

It has been established that Courtney is estranged from her mother and that started a couple of months ago when a rift happened between them with her mom not standing up for her.

After McMurphy verified that indeed the real Tina Carano was bringing up doubt on the texts he provided, he came back and added an update to his story.

Yeah, I know so far this is just more of the same old drama and really no one gives a flying fuck as it's all beyond over the top.

So I share this specifically because McMurphy does know how to add a change to a story that isn't covert as he did in his prior stories. Sure, he might have learned a lesson with all of the backlash he's received, but when it serves his purpose he's all over adding a notated update to that article, when it didn't help him it was simply changed and only mentioned in comments below or other sites, not notated in the actual article.

FWIW, his response about those texts Carano was denying was that in 2015 Carano gave her ipad and phone to Courtney to share with the police as part of their investigation. He mentions that the police downloaded those texts for use in the investigation, however he does not state directly whether or not the copies he received were from the police in that FOIA or if it came from Courtney.

And no, I didn't go looking for this, nor do I get wrapped up in this never ending bullshit storm going on around this over so many social media sites. My wife told me about it in the context of being a mother and not supporting your kids and I found McMurphy's ability to suddenly know how to amend a story when it suits him to be interesting.

Also, me pointing out that people are jumping to conclusions based on a report that was one-sided and has been edited now multiple times due to inaccuracy isn't conspiracy theory - it's logic. Clearly there are people who badly want to see a national giant get their legs chopped off, and so they're willing to believe anything that will give them that, even if it's been proven to be inaccurate on several counts.
