well, the only thing that even somewhat supports my hopes, stat-wise, is that when Fox has one guy, who is a bit better than the other options, he gives that guy the lions share. The only time he hasn't is when he's had equally good (DWILL and JSTEW) or equally bad (Desuan Foster and Co.).
Evidenced by McGahee missing six game and still leading the team, and Moreno being basically inactive for all but the six games McGahee missed, and was second..all the others were WAY behind. Fox might like to have good RB's on the roster, but hehas no problem riding one, so long as he gets the job done.

So, if Balls pass protection at WISC translates to the NFL, it's his to lose

Correct he will stick with one guy if he proves worthy - but Fox always favors veterans over rooks. ....

Is it the same person who wrote of himself...

has helped more than his fair share of fantasy football players improve their drafting skills and their weekly waiver wire pick up decisions.

Funny how the 'help' was by taking fantasy clunkers off the board so the decent players would still be available.

I think someone is missing the unknown person we all love to hate?

Back to DEN... see, this is probably why I haven't done well in FF the last couple years. I'm not willing to take a chance on these kind of situations. You guess right and it bodes well. You guess wrong and you wasted a pick on a mid-round RB that could have resulted in picking up a starting lower tiered WR instead.

That Tavon Austin avi is informative, RT... good to know he's a team-first guy.

The best way for the Browns to not finish last in their division is to switch divisions. Maybe they could become the Indianapolis Racers, the Colts could go back to Baltimore, and the Ravens could go back to Cleveland.

I'm trying to decide who's a bigger idiot, Justin Blackmon or Geno Smith.

Joe, I think that just might have been the funniest thing said on this thread including the CBeeeeS one.

I'm trying to decide who's a bigger idiot, Justin Blackmon or Geno Smith.

My take:
From what I've read about Smith, he wins the "bigger idiot" contest. Blackmon is just stupid.

Joe, I think that just might have been the funniest thing said on this thread

Thanks, Sam. But you and Lefty are still the comedians of the MBBRL.

The ESPN league (which completely thrashes the CBS free leagues in terms of what you can do) will also allow me to just put the draft picks in manually. So we could run the suicide league draft right here. It would take a while, but the fact that it takes so long might make it more interesting, yakking between picks.

Ive watched almost all his post draft press conferences.. Seems like a very humble and focused young man. He is all about being team first but shortly after he was selected he said the quote that's showed in my avatar..

in regards to Tavon Austin being a team player - can anyone name a WR that could have been considered a 'diva' that Fisher has ever drafted? I couldnt think of one right away. His picks are usually tough/grind it out kinda players, that dont take crap from anyone. Even dumbass Kenny Britt is a pretty tough dude:

RT, it is refreshing to read positive reports about these kids. Unfortunately it seems like the Geno Smiths, Blackmons, Ocho-Cincos, Burresses, and T.O.'s of the NFL get the attention.

Not to change the subject but I went to go read an article on Yahoo written by Jason Cole. But that's not important. I noticed that under Cole's name it said, "Yahoo! EXPERT."

Got me wondering, what qualifies him as an "expert?" I don't mean to pick on Jason Cole specifically. But as far as I know, football does not hand out degrees or certificates? Does a journalism degree automatically imbue someone as an expert? Would winning a fantasy league qualify someone as an expert? Does writing a column on the internet? At minimum, does just sharing your opinion on a football subject indoctrinate you on the path to expert status?

(Reminded me of the scene in Monty Python's Holy Grail... "Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. You need a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.")

If any of the above scenarios are justification for being expert, then aren't we all experts?

Maybe next to our handles, we can proudly display "SportsHoopla EXPERT."

I'm not that keen on drafting from a SportsHoopla thread. But I'll go with the majority.

Also, your ESPN comment got me thinking... Each ESPN league has a message board (which is a much better board than ESPN's "forum"). You can import videos and pictures. Can make for some humorous banter.

That said, will the SportsHoopla thread lose some face-time once the leagues get going?

And that reminds me of Mr. Will's video he posted as I was eliminated from playoff contention. As much as I wanted to be mad I couldn't stop laughing.

PIT RBs - every blurb/report that I have seen the past couple of days has annointed Bell as the RB1 in PIT. Apparently it isnt even a contest. Being from the midwest, I see a lot of BIG10 sports, and I am still having a hard time believing that Bell is hands down the best RB that PIT has, without any playing time. He seems like a BJGE type RB that could use a really good change of pace back to keep defenses guessing. Don't get me wrong, I like BJGE, and I think he finished in the top 15 last year, and I was high on him being a top tier RB2 around this time last year, I just don't see Le'Veon Bell being that big of an upgrade over Redmon/Dwyer.
