I wouldn't mind pulling a Mike Ditka... trade all of our picks for a QB.

Funny thing is a lot of bears fans in this board think there is no offensive talent. They literally brought in an entire offense for trubs. But Nagy had it going last year. It’s hard when the qb isn’t seeing the field, but yeah u need to adjust to a simpler system

I think the Bears have just as much offensive talent as any other team.
As for Mahomes and Watson, what can I say? Trubisky was the consensus top QB.
A lot of college/NFL experts were wrong too, obviously.
When he was drafted, Trubisky was supposed to be a "work in progress."
Nagy was supposed to be the right guy for the task - the so-called QB-whisperer.

Maybe we're over-reacting?
We're not the only team that hasn't averaged more than 300 yards per game this season.
It is early and the Bears starters played in zero preseason games.
I blame Nagy for that too.
Maybe that's just koolaid optimism?

But as a fan, I feel it was necessary. Warranted.
Cutler was our best QB in 3 decades.
Other teams who have had a decent QB in the last 30 years don't understand the angst.

Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

Trubisky seems like a good guy, but he just doesn’t see it.

QBs who don’t have an advanced ability to read defenses and make quick, accurate decisions just don’t turn out that well.

Here is why it was not warranted:

1) They moved up 1 spot
2) The team they traded with was not taking a QB (yes I know someone else could have traded up)
3) Trubisky was not the consensus top QB. The Saints, for example had him 4th or 5th QB. There were other teams that were also low on him.

I told you guys Trubisky would bust before he played his first game. It is still too early to give up on him entirely because I think he can still be solid. But the data was out there and the scouts got it wrong. No way he should have been selected over Watson and Mahomes.

Scouts emphasize the wrong things when they break down QBs. Decision making skills trump everything. Yes, you need the athletic intangibles too, but you can’t play QB in the NFL unless you are a great decision maker. Trubisky is not.

To be fair, did you read their comments on Mahomes and Watson? They had no high praise for any of the QB.
