Morris might hurt a little - as a #2RB in a 14-team PPR league he's pretty good, but not great. I'm kvetching about the price, because I think your flex and TE suffered because of it.

And if your bench RBs went for $1, you might be awful thin.

Even just counting drafts after Aug. 25 last year, Morris's ADP was 14.11 - so in plenty of 14-round leagues he would have been on waivers, even more for leagues that drafted earlier. Remember, nobody trusted that Shanahan would stick with a single back.

Woodhead and Ballard were the 24th and 25th best RBs and usually weren't drafted. Not exactly fantasy gold; maybe fantasy bronze.

Can't find any for 2011, though.

2010: Hillis, Green-Ellis
2009: Charles
2008: Steve Slaton

MilkSpiller's "always" works if you read it as "usually."

My top RB candidates for waiver-wire precious metals this year:

Todman - needs MJD to miss time, but there's a decent chance of that (gold, but not all that likely)
Stacy - could end up the lead back for the Rams (silver and pretty likely)
Powell - "ground and pound" may wear Ivory down (silver and somewhat likely)
Helu - like Woodhead last year, he may end up a better option than some flex plays out there (bronze and almost a sure thing)

Watever u say milk... I cant think of a single 1 last year. Alfred dosent count considering he was named starter end of August. There will always be a few waiver wire rb pickups that help ur team and start for a couple weeks but usually the success dosen't last.. Marcel Reece was a nice pickup 4 couple weeks as was Knowshon but after a few weeks there value went back 2 what it was for the most part

I know in our league there's nothing on the wire resembling a starter. I picked up Joique Bell and Christine Michael just in case, but the cupboard is bare. You're right about Reece, I picked him up for a nice two weeks last year, but that's about it.

Guys, the ESPN schedule was terrible (playing some teams three times) so I'm revising it. You'll play the first three weeks and the last three weeks in your division, and the middle eight weeks against the eight teams outside your division. Should be up shortly.

Yea I had the same problem with one of my leagues - - not sure why it automatically schedules that way seems kind of doubt - - but it's not horrible to fix.

Twas the night before kickoff when all through the house
Not an owner was sleeping, they were walking about
The lineups were set by the owners who care
In hopes that the injuries wouldn't be there

The backups were nestled all snug on the bench
While visioning spot starts and helping out in a pinch
And the wife in the kitchen couldn't be ruder
As I just settled down, she yelled, "Off the computer!"

When out on the news there arose such a story
I sprang from my chair to hear all the glory
Away to the TV I fast forwarded the ads
To find out that Gronkowski was practicing in pads!

The news that the rest of my team was a go
Gave peace to the mind for tomorrow
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a potentially strong player sitting on waivers

With a little old backup hurting my groove
I knew in a moment I must make the move
More rapid than eagles, my cursor did fly
I whistled and shouted and even started to cry

Now Foster, Fitzgerald , now Peyton and Brady
On Calvin, on Victor, on Charles and Shady
To the top of the standings, to the top of the wall
Now dash away, bash away, cash away all!

8 more verses, but I couldn't keep going... :(

Ravens DST

I'm scouring the free agent pool for any silent gems, but am coming up empty. I'm also "regretting" picking the Ravens, as I already had the Niners. If anyone likes the Ray-less Ravens and wouldn't mind trading your last bench spot, chuck up an offer and we'll see what happens. The Niners would be more expensive so I don't expect anyone to want to make any deals there, but if so, be my guest.

I'm gonna check out who I passed up in the draft to select the Ravens, and then I'll ask myself why I do that more often than not?

TKO- I am disappointed that I have to keep any defense on my roster but thems the rules. You should get someone to bite.

I was going to put up something clever to kick off the season, but I'm not gonna try to compete with genius like

And the wife in the kitchen couldn't be ruder
As I just settled down, she yelled, "Off the computer!"

So I'll just say have a fun season everyone, and remember - it's not just about winning your games, it's about protecting the integrity of the Keepers of the Flame.

(Except for the Barbarians at the Gate, who just want to smash that integrity to bits and stand laughing over the rubble.)

Well barring phenomenal seasons from Julio, Cobb, and Charles...in not even sure about personal dignity, let alone integrity. .. gonna be a long season for me.

Lol..........I felt good about my team for like a day then I really looked at it...............now I feel like I'll be in the B league next year. Bright side? Shouldn't be leaving too many points on the bench this year. Anyway, good luck to all and let's just score the most amount of points possible so only 1 other will have to go to the B league with me. Been a strange year of drafting IMO in all leagues.

I know what you mean. I've looked at what's available out there like 25 times already. Ditto on the drafts - - all of mine were so different it isn't even funny.

I kind of like my team this year, but one thing is for sure, I will enjoy playing with all you guys again this year. This league feeds my competitive football fix and forces me to be sharp in order to compete. I look forward to the season fellas.
