even growing up in St Louis, I was a huge Indians fan, and Lofton was my favorite player. Still have a ton of his baseball cards, and would routinely trade higher value cards to friends if they had 3 or 4 Lofton cards that I didn't own already.

I even had a CLE jersey and fitted ball cap (back in my day, fitted caps weren't the norm yet and were more expensive than the snap back ones, and we didn't really have extra money for that kinda stuff)

the 3 best base stealers ever to play the game. where I grew up, I had to constantly explain to people that I didn't wear #7 in honor of that drunk HR hitter that used to play for the yanks, it was all about Lofton baby!

Yes it is Lofton. One of the best CF'rs of all-time, especially defensively and just a menace on base paths. He has always been my favorite player, a human highlight reel. I had a ton of his baseball cards. I went to a ton of Indians game but we had really good seats one afternoon by the 3B side. I brought one of his rookie cards that day and he signed it for me.

LOL Ohh that slapdick, yeah he is fast but the old school Billy Hamilton stole bases like there was a toddler playing catcher...but I guess a lot more did in that era lol. He also hit .344 and his obp was .455. He was a beast
