Yeah, Quebec in 06. Beat Moncton interestingly enough.

Yup. In Moncton. Moncton were the QMJHL champs and the hosts so Quebec got in through the backdoor by being the QMJHL finalists. Radulov, Esposito, and Vlasic were the big names on that team.

Oh and I have no idea what a Rempart is. Same can be said for many of the Quebec based teams nicknames. And even a lot the ones I do understand have me scratching my head as to why they would pick that name.

This is my first time watching the Memorial Cup, and I've really enjoyed the games so far (Friday nights blowout got a little boring though). I missed yesterdays game as I was watching the Sharks/Hawks game, but am getting ready for Windsor at Calgary in a couple hours. To those others who plan on watching also, enjoy the game.

It should be a good one, Calgary better be ready right off the hop...

2-0 Spitfires after one period. Calgary starting to come on towards the end of the opening frame.

Windsor took a 3-0 lead early in the 2nd, but Calgary responds with two goals to make it 3-2 after 40 minutes. Shaping up to be a great 3rd period.

Windsor scores the backbreaker 12 seconds into the period to make it 4-2. Final score 6-2. Windsor goes straight to the Sunday final. Taylor Hall is one heck of a player.

Yeah he had a good game. Grubauer made some big saves too. IMO the difference in this game was Martin Jones. He gave up several weak goals tonight (and did in the Moncton game as well). He's gonna need to step it up if Calgary wants to make it to the final for a rematch against Windsor.

When was the last Memorial Cup repeat?

Kamloops won back to back in 94 and 95. I'm not 100% sure if anyone has repeated since, but I don't think anyone has. Before that Medicine Hat won it in 87 and 88.

Cool. I'm just making sure I'm not crazy, Windsor did win last year, correct?
