I think the biggest thing that sticks out with this signing is how big this is for Drew Lock. The Broncos know what they are getting in Gordon in a very good all-around back. There really isn't a huge weakness to his game. He is a good blocker, receiver, and can run inside and out. The blocking part is what really matters here. Sticking a rookie next to Lock and trusting that they will do their job could really bite us in the butt this year. So thankfully don't have to worry about that. 3rd down offense should really thrive with Gordon being the option.

Gordon led the NFL in broken tackles from 2016 through 2018.
Can’t wait to see he and Lindsay work!

Lindsay is a more explosive runner than Eckler. Our running game should improve in all areas. Big miss if it does not. Wonder if Phillip could play some slot or WR in a 4 by 1 set.

I don’t see Lindsay working as a slot.

but definitely agree that as long as our OL improves our run game is gonna be nifty!
Gordon and Lindsay is a really nice combination.

I think we will see Gordon in the slot and we will sometimes see both Gordon and Lindsay in the backfield. The Broncos seem to be building the Oline from the inside out - also Risner and Glascow are going to pull and put impact blocking at the point of attack.

The fact the Broncos can pull both to the left and right now with Glasgow on the roster is huge. Some of our best runs came on Risner pulling to the right opening up a huge hole. Problem was it became too predictable as the season wore on.

And I agree if any of the RB's will be in the slot running a pass route it will be Gordon. Lindsay is just not a good option at anything involving the pass. I love Lindsay but I would not pay him. The best RB's in the NFL are the ones that a team has to guess why they are on the field. With Lindsay you know it is either he is in to run the ball or drop to the sideline as a safety valve in the passing game. There is not much of a threat beyond those two things. Now he does the running part really well so he has value just honestly not as much value as Gordon.

If we are not going to pay Lindsay and Gordon is signed for 2 years, both will hit free agency at the same year unless we do not tender Lindsay next year. I would like to se us sign Lindsay for the next 3 years. This will allow us a transition year.

Obviously we will tender Lindsay. Not letting him hit free agency in year 3 unless something goes horribly wrong with him.

No Denver rumors. News is a lot tougher this year to pick up on without the traveling part of free agency.

Looks like Gordon wants to play with a chip on his shoulder - that there is an actual debate about whether he is better than average. I'll take that and put it to good use.

We paid way to much for what we got. I really doubt anyone was ling up for a 3.8 yard RB and wanting to pay him $8 a year.
